George A Churchill, age 95 of rural Elmwood, died ___________ __________ _____ 16, 2022 at Heritage of Elmwood Nursing Home with family by his side.

George was born Feb.

22, 1927 in the family farm house. He was the son of _______ ____ _____ _______ Churchill. George attended school in Rock Elm, Wis. and worked alongside his brother and dad on the family farm until at age 24, he was drafted into the Army and served ___ ____ _______ ________ _____ 1952-1954.

George met his wife Marlys Quilling when he returned home and they were married Aug. 13, 1955 at the Iron Creek Methodist ___________________________ years before she passed away in 2015.

After marriage they made their home on the Churchill family farm in the township of Rock Elm, rural Elmwood, where they farmed and raised their family. George was dedicated to the dairy farm where they milked cows and harvested crops. His passion for farming alongside his son Dennis, and after the passing of Dennis, George continued to milk until age 86 when they sold the cows. His other passions included making maple syrup in the family sugar bush alongside his family. He really enjoyed going to the woods and cutting wood with his son when time allowed.

George was known for his dedication to the Rock Elm United Methodist Church and enjoyed socializing at the summer ice cream socials. George enjoyed spending time with the grandchildren and seeing all the great-grandchildren dressed up for holidays, especially Halloween costumes.

George is survived by his ____ _________ _____ _______ Churchill of Elmwood, Su- ____ ________ _________ ___ Elmwood; seven grandchil- ______ ______ ______ _____ – _____ _____ _______ _________ _________ _________ _________ _____ _________ ___________ ______ _______ _______ ____ – _______ _______ __________ _________ ________ __________ ____ ___________________ __ –

____ _______ _________ ____ – ____ __________ _________ ___ great-grandchildren and two on the way. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and a son, Dennis’ two sisters, Jean ____________________________ a brother, Donald Churchill.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday, June 27, 2022, at the Rock Elm United Methodist Church with Reverend Margaret Erickson ____________ _______ _____ ___ ___ the Poplar Hill Cemetery, _____________________ Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral at the church.
