Rose M. Christiansen, age 74, of River Falls, Wisconsin, passed away Oct. 27, 2022 at Prescott Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Rosie was born to Walter and Hattie Christiansen on June 22, 1948, in Red Wing, Minnesota. After graduating from Ellsworth High School in 1966, Rosie attended college in Eau Claire and earned her associates degree in accounting. Rosie retired after 30 years of service in the printing department of Smeads. Rosie was very social, and it showed in her 25 years she tended bar at the Gaslight. When not at work she could be found volunteering her time with blood donations with the American Red Cross.

Family meant the world to Rosie. She had a great love for her many nieces and nephews. It was well known that she could not wait to give all of them their first taste of Hershey’s chocolate. She carried this tradition down from generation to generation as her great and great-great nieces and nephew were born. Rosie loved playing Cribbage, Euchre, and poker. At family birthday parties Rosie would join all the men in the basement for a good game of poker. She enjoyed bowling in tournaments, playing softball and was also on a local pool league. Rosie loved her Coca Cola, fishing and driving around looking at all the Christmas lights.

Rosie will remain in the hearts of her siblings, Grace (Mike “Nutsy”) Lubich, Sheila (Peter) Pechacek, Hope Matthews, and Brad (Maryjo) Christiansen; sisters in law, Louise Christiansen, Mary Christiansen, Cheryl Anvold; brother in law, Blair Schuck; and many nieces, nephews, friends and family.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Hattie; siblings, Sara Schuck, Roy Christiansen, Gary Christiansen; brother in law, Dave Matthews; nephews, John Christiansen, Raymond Pechacek, and Damon Ward.
