ELLSWORTH – Here’s what happening at Ellsworth Public Library (312 W. Main St.) in December: December is Read a New Book Month; stop in and pick out a new title! December is also Learn a Foreign Language Month. Did you know your library card gives you access to a free language learning program called Transparent Languages? Check it out at https://library.transparent.com/ifls/game/ ng/#/login Friday Morning Storytime will be held at 10 a.m. Dec. 2, 9 and 16 in the lower level of the library.

Morning Book Club, 10:30 a.m. Dec. 8, “The Rose Code” with virtual author visit from Kate Quinn.

Holiday Celebration & Luncheon, 11 a.m. Dec. 13, Ellsworth Senior Center.

Doodle Club, 4 p.m. Dec. 13 in the lower level of the library; for ages 9-12.

Community Book Club, 6:30 p.m. Dec. 15 in the lower level of the library. We’ll be

discussing “The Secret of Snow” by Viola Shipman.

LEGO with the Library, 4 p.m. Dec. 20, lower level of the library.

Teen Meet-Up, 4 p.m. Dec. 22, lower level of the library. Cocoa, cookie and crafts for teens ages 12-18.

Drop-In Craft Night, 5:30-7 p.m. Dec. 22; stop by for an evening of crafting and cheer.

The library is excited to be a part of Light Up the Fair from 5 -8 p.m. on Dec. 9, 10, 16 and 17. Stop by for s’mores and stories!

The library will be closed Dec. 23, 24, 26, 30 and 31. The library hopes to be moving into our new location at 388 W. Main St. sometime after the New Year. Watch our website for more information and any library closure related to the move.
