Gathering Place activities

PRESCOTT – Welcome back Senior citizens! It has literally been last year since we gathered. The snow and cold snap shut us done last week. I don’t know about you, but I am eager to get back to Senior Gathering Place activities.

Thursday, Jan. 10: A speaker from the Prescott Kiwanis Club will tell us about their mission, local projects and meetings at 1 p.m.

Tuesday, Jan. 17: Pickleball will meet at 9 a.m. at Malone Intermediate’s gym. At 1 p.m., bring your dimes for Left, Right, Center.

Wednesday, Jan. 18: Join your friends for cards 12:30-3:30 p.m. Euchre, 500, Bridge and any other card game you want to play.

Thursday, Jan. 19: “The Ice Age Meltdown” will be shown at 1 p.m. along with popcorn. Senior Gathering Place is open to all ages 55 years and older. We are located at 1220 St. Croix St., Door 5. Follow the signs across from the football field and enter at Door 5. Hours are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 12:30-3:30 p.m. If the school is closed due to inclement weather, Gathering Place will be closed too.
