PRESCOTT – Winter continues to challenge us with the changing weather! But remember it is always warm and dry at the Gathering Place. Parking is convenient and you don’t need to shovel your way in! Thursday, Jan. 19: Movie and popcorn day at 1 p.m. “The Ice Age Meltdown” will be shown, a cartoon comedy.
Friday, Jan. 20: Memory Cafe meets from 10-11:30 a.m. at the First National Bank Community Room in the lower level (1151 Canton St.)
Tuesday, Jan. 24: Pickleball meets in the school gym at 9 a.m. Book Club meets at the Gathering Place for discussion of the book “The Personal Librarian: by H. Terrell and V.C. Murray Wednesday, Jan. 25: Meet your friends at 12:30 p.m. for Euchre, Bridge and card games of your choice.
Thursday, Jan. 26: A presentation by Prescott Superintendent Dr. Rick Spicuzza and Prescott Middle School Principal Kyle Igou at 1 p.m. They will be discussing the upcoming move this summer of the middle school students to the current Intermediate School. Questions will also be taken that day. Senior Gathering Place is open to all ages 55 years and older. We are located at 1220 St. Croix St., Door 5. Follow the signs across from the football field and enter at Door 5. Hours are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 12:30-3:30 p.m. If the school is closed due to inclement weather, Gathering Place will be closed too.
