ELLSWORTH – The Ellsworth Area Chamber of Commerce is asking for the public’s help once again to recognize the best that our business community has to offer. The 2023 “Best of” Awards kicked off Monday, Jan. 23, with voting taking place on the chamber’s website.
“Our ‘Best of’Award program is an important way the community can support their favorite local businesses and recognize them for their contributions and service to their customers,” said Paul Bauer, Ellsworth Chamber Board President. “The campaign creates awareness of just how many great businesses we have here. Every vote lets our business community know they are valued.”
Each member of the Ellsworth Area Chamber of Commerce qualifies for the competition, with voting taking place in eight categories: Best New Business, Best Restaurant/Bar/Tavern, Best Tourism Destination/Attraction, Best Health & Wellness, Best Professional Home Services, Best Professional Services, Best Non-Profit/ Civic Group/Religious Organization, and Best Customer Service.
Voting will take place in two rounds. First, the community is asked to narrow down the field in each category. The three nominees in each category who receive the most online votes will advance to the final round, at which time the community will once again vote to determine the final award recipients. The winners will be announced at the chamber’s Annual Awards Banquet, which will take place at Kilkarney Hills on Monday, Feb. 20. The award recipients will receive a commemorative poster to display at their business and have bragging rights until the 2024 “Best of” voting takes place next year.
The first round of voting will conclude at midnight on Wednesday, Feb. 1. The finalists will then advance to the final round of voting, which will take place from Friday, Feb. 3 through Friday, Feb.10, 2023.
