Ellsworth Police Department reports: April 7-13, 2025

The following incidents were reported to Ellsworth Police Department April 7-13, 2025.
Monday, April 7
At 8:32 a.m., police were notified of a child who ran away from Ellsworth Elementary School (445 S. Piety St.) The student was located and turned over to their mother.
Jordan Isaiah Battin, 28, Prescott, was arrested for a probation hold at 1:01 p.m. at 310 W. Main St.
Tuesday, April 8
A junk notice was issued at 11:24 a.m. at 440 W. Ray St. for an unregistered vehicle.
Police responded at 2:41 p.m. to 414 W. Overlook Drive for an unwanted subject. The resident wanted someone to leave who was being disorderly and throwing things. The person left before police arrived and was warned not to return.
Wednesday, April 9
A student was cited for possessing a nicotine vape at 10:06 a.m. at 323 W. Hillcrest St.
Police were called back at 10:17 a.m. to 323 W. Hillcrest St. for a locker room that smelled like marijuana. A student admitted to having a THC vape, using it in school and was cited.
At 4:02 p.m., a resident at 565 Alexander Ave. reported being blackmailed for money online. He was advised of safe internet habits and advised of extortion scams.
At 7:31 p.m., police received a complaint of a neighbor throwing cigarette butts into the street at 590 Burton Cir. The suspect said she uses an ashtray and advised police of an ongoing neighbor dispute. The suspect said the complainant trespasses on her lawn. The parties were told to stay civil.
Police assisted Pierce County deputies with a vehicle search at 7:56 p.m. at Grant and Cairns streets.
Thursday, April 10
Police saw an unoccupied vehicle parked in the park (100 W. Grove St.) at 1:45 a.m. Nothing was found in the park.
Officers assisted EMS at 3:11 a.m. at 610 E. Main St.
At 6:09 a.m., a caller at 102 N. Dana St. reported seeing a young child in the yard that ran off in an unknown direction. Police spoke with the child’s mother, who said the child has behavioral issues. The child and mother were reunited after the child was found hiding behind a tree.
Police responded at 10:05 a.m. to 323 W. Hillcrest St. for a student who had vapes. Two were nicotine and one was THC. They were cited.
Tejay Allen Skordahl, 41, Ellsworth, was arrested for a probation violation at 2:30 p.m. at 310 W. Main St.
Friday, April 11
At 4:03 p.m., police were called to 155 Evergreen Estates St. for possible neglect of a dog. While neighbors were tending the dog, it got loose. Police brought the dog to impound and notified the owner.
Peter Joseph Schommer, 44, Maiden Rock, was arrested for OWI after a traffic stop for fictitious plates at 9:10 p.m. at W6087 Highway 10, Ellsworth.
A resident was issued a warning for burning at 9:29 p.m. at 192 Evergreen Estates St.
Saturday, April 12
Francisco Lugo Valencia, 37, Ellsworth, was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct and battery after police responded at 2:02 a.m. to 459 W. Main St.
Sunday, April 13
Trevor Lee Schams, 48, Ellsworth, was cited for possession of THC and possess drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop for failure to stop at a stop sign at 12:52 a.m. at Main and Chestnut streets.
Police assisted EMS at 4:56 a.m. at 217 W. Charlotte St.
Police assisted EMS with an unresponsive man at 10:07 a.m. at 111 S. Pond St. He came to and refused any help.
A hit and run was reported at 8:09 p.m. at Beulah and Grove streets.
