Letter to the editor: The party of science

To the editor,

The Democrat Party has told you continuously they are the party of science. They want you to believe this despite what you can see with your own eyes. Let's review what the party of science believes.

Social Science: The Democrat Party ensured the country they would solve the poverty problem by instituting their welfare program. Sixty years and nearly $30 trillion later there are about as many people below the poverty level now than when the program started. This is because the program broke down the habits and norms that lead to self-reliance and created an anti-marriage incentive that created intergenerational poverty resulting in an unwed birth rate that skyrocketed from 8% in 1965 to over 40% today.

Political Science: The Democrat Party screamed that the Wisconsin Voter ID law resulted in 200,000 suppressed votes in 2016. All of which were meant for Hillary Clinton. Miraculously, the number of votes for president in 2020 were 500,000 more than 2016 while the total population of the state only increased by 120,000. The number of additional votes increased 400% more than the population growth with the same Voter ID law!

Earth Science: The Democrat Party constantly tells you that melting polar ice will massively increase the ocean levels. According to the “Archimedes' principle” which states that the weight of water displaced by melting ice will equal the upward buoyancy force provided by that water. In simple terms, this means that when a floating piece of ice in a jar containing water melts, the level of the water remains unchanged. On a larger scale this means that if all the Arctic ice melted tomorrow the ocean levels would go up exactly zero inches. If you do not want to take Archimedes’ word for it you can listen to the climate scientists who said 40% of the Arctic ice has melted in the last 30 years. Did you see the ocean levels rise? Me neither! Score one for Archimedes. Perhaps some intrepid science teacher could reinforce this law of physics with their students.

Biology 101: The Democrat Party wants you to believe that men transitioning to women should be allowed to compete against women because there is no difference in size, strength and endurance between men and women. They also think that it is perfectly ok to have these transitional males share the women's locker room. How sick is that?

Biology 102: The Democrat Party demands that abortion should be legal up to nine months and beyond. They say that the fetus is just a clump of cells and cannot feel any pain. Meanwhile, there are hundreds of thousands of fully functioning people who were born at eight, seven and six months after conception.

Biology 103: We now have a Democrat Supreme Court justice who cannot define what a woman is because she says she is not a biologist. She appears to be the first Supreme Court justice who is not smarter than a fifth grader. I can say with absolute certainty that the fifth graders at St. Mary's in 1964 who diligently compared and contrasted the photographic works of a Hugh Hefner publication could easily define what a woman is without ever taking a class in biology!

The horrific results of their “defund the police,” “cashless bail” and “wide open borders” are obvious. The Democrat Party is far closer to the party of insanity than the party of science.
