Pierce County Circuit Court: April 9, 2025

Initial appearances

Naima Anne Marie Claire Du Chatellier, 41, St. Paul Park, Minn., was ordered to pay $500 cash bond March 31 on felony possess with intent amphetamine/methamphetamine, felony possession of methamphetamine, misdemeanor bail jumping and possess drug paraphernalia charges. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. April 28.

Katharine Pariseau Flom, 44, homeless, Ellsworth, waived extradition March 27 to Anoka County (Minn.) where she is charged with a felony. She also posted a $5,000 signature bond on felony possession of methamphetamine (repeater) and possess drug paraphernalia (repeater) charges. A status conference is set for 4 p.m. April 21.

Collyn James Heemstra, 21, River Falls, was ordered to pay $500 cash bond March 31 on felony substantial battery – intend bodily harm (domestic abuse – infliction of physical pain or injury) and disorderly conduct (domestic abuse – infliction of physical pain or injury) charges. A preliminary hearing is set for 2:30 p.m. April 15.

Devorise L. Jackson, 28, Inver Grove Heights, Minn., pleaded not guilty and posted a $250 signature bond March 31 on an operate without valid license (third within three years, repeater) charge. A status conference is slated for 11 a.m. April 29.

Donald Paul Kowalsky, 59, Ellsworth, failed to attend a March 31 initial appearance on two misdemeanor bail jumping charges. A new initial appearance is scheduled for 1:15 p.m. May 1.

Brayden Lee O’Bryan, 22, Clear Lake, posted a $10,000 signature bond March 31 on felony false imprisonment (domestic abuse) and disorderly conduct (domestic abuse) charges. A preliminary hearing is slated for 10:30 a.m. April 18.

Anthony Steffen Vancura, 42, St. Paul, was ordered to pay $500 cash bond March 28 on felony battery or threat to judge, prosecutor or law enforcement officer, resisting or obstructing an officer, battery (domestic abuse) and disorderly conduct (domestic abuse) charges. A preliminary hearing is set for 11 a.m. May 13.

Deferred cases

Timothy Steven Banks, 38, Hastings, Minn., pleaded guilty to and entered into a deferred judgment of conviction agreement on a felony possession of methamphetamine charge March 31. A possess drug paraphernalia charge was dismissed. The charges stemmed from an April 14, 2024 incident.

Vanessa Renee Olson, 27, River Falls, pleaded guilty to and entered into a deferred judgment of conviction agreement on a neglecting a child (specified harm did not occur) charge March 31. The charge resulted from an Aug. 1, 2023 incident.

Closed cases

Ashley Mary Craver, 38, Ellsworth, was convicted of operate without carrying license and fined $277.80 March 31. The charge stemmed from a Dec. 9 incident.

Cody Robert Deroy, 35, Rochester, Minn., was convicted of neglecting a child (specified harm did not occur) and resisting or obstructing an officer March 31, fined $886 and sentenced to two years or probation. A felony bail jumping charge was dismissed. The charges resulted from incidents June 19 and July 19.

Austin Tyler Drewes Ibarra, 26, Inver Grove Heights, Minn., was convicted of two disorderly conduct March 31 and fined $755.60. Disorderly conduct (domestic abuse) possess drug paraphernalia and two misdemeanor bail jumping charges were dismissed. The charge stemmed from incidents May 16, May 21 and May 30.

A neglecting a child (specified harm did not occur) charge against Gunner Jepsen, 29, River Falls, was dismissed March 28 upon completion of a deferred judgment of conviction agreement. The charge resulted from a June 27, 2023 incident.

Aaron Richard Place, 36, Spring Valley, was convicted of ignition interlock device tampering/failure to install/violate court order March 31 and fined $543. An operating while revoked (alcohol related) charge was dismissed. The charge stemmed from an Aug. 14 incident.

An operate without valid license (second within three years) charge against Esperanza Alejandrina Quezada Erraez, 25, River Falls, was dismissed March 26. The charge resulted from an Aug. 13 incident.

Chad C. Ridges, 38, Hudson, was convicted of resisting/failing to stop and resisting or obstructing an officer March 31, sentenced to two years of probation and fined $886. Operate firearm while intoxicated, carry concealed weapon and possess drug paraphernalia charges were dismissed but read in. The charges stemmed from a Sept. 28 incident in Ellsworth.
