The following incidents were reported to Pierce County Sheriff's Office April 7-14, 2025.

Monday, April 7

  • Police responded to a medical episode at 10:01 a.m. at W8041 140th, Hager City. A person was declared dead at the scene.
  • Officers assisted Wisconsin State Patrol with a crash at 10:24 a.m. at W6140 Highway 29, River Falls.
  • A caller reported trees down on an overhead line at 12:11 p.m. at N7829 Highway 65, River Falls. The information was passed to the power company.
  • Police arrested a man for a Polk County warrant at 12:54 p.m. at Pierce County Courthouse (414 W. Main St., Ellsworth).
  • At 1:23 p.m., a resident at W6799 170th, Bay City, reported finding drug items in a vehicle he just bought.
  • Deputies assisted River Falls police with a drunk driver at 3:42 p.m. at Cemetery Road and Sixth Street.
  • Officers responded to a possible gas leak at 4:05 p.m. at W6380 Pepin St., Bay City. The fire department said law enforcement wasn’t needed.
  • Deputies assisted RF police with a welfare check at 4:52 p.m. at Main Street and Powell Avenue.
  • Deputies were notified of a training burn by Prescott Fire at 6:09 p.m. at W10499 560th, Prescott.
  • Police were dispatched to an animal complaint at 6:27 p.m. at County Road F and 820th Avenue, River Falls. Nothing was located.
  • At 10:35 p.m., police responded to a 690th Street (Ellsworth) address for a man making suicidal comments. A safety plan was put into place with Northwest Connections.

 

Tuesday, April 8

  • At 8:39 a.m., police were waved down by a passerby who had found a license plate and other vehicle parts indicating an accident at Skyline Drive and Highway 29, Spring Valley. Police attempted to reach the registered owner.
  • At 2:43 p.m., a caller reported suspicious activity in the area of 112 N. Main St., Elmwood. They requested extra patrol.
  • At 3:29 p.m., a resident at W7485 130th, Hager City, reported a subject for driving through the neighborhood the past few weeks. They wanted it documented.
  • Deputies responded to a burglary not in progress at 4:36 p.m. at W7953 150th, Hager City.
  • At 9:16 p.m., police arrested a man with active warrants N8840 Highway 128, Spring Valley. He was transported to Pierce County Jail.

 

Wednesday, April 9

  • At 7:23 a.m., police were called about an ongoing loose dog issue at N5770 1000th, Ellsworth. Police met with the dogs’ owners and confirmed they’d been on the complainant’s property again. They were cited.
  • A protection order violation was reported at 7:46 a.m. at W6396 Highway 35, Bay City. Police determined the petitioner made contact with the suspect, who then acted disorderly, and the petitioner left.
  • At 12:07 p.m., a caller reported seeing black smoke in the valley near Highway 35 and 468th Avenue, Prescott. No fires were located.
  • At 1:44 p.m., police were notified of a woman who parked illegally to take photos of the property at N3941 Highway 35, Prescott. Police spoke to her.
  • At 3:33 p.m., a caller reported littering occurring near N771 330th, Maiden Rock. Police located fast food bags and beer cans, but no identifying information.
  • At 3:54 p.m., police were informed by a third party of alleged threats at W6799 170th, Bay City. They were told to have the victims report the incidents.
  • Police responded to a suspicious activity complaint at 9:22 p.m. at 444 Park Road, Plum City. Multiple people were having a bonfire. They were informed of park rules.
  • Officers assisted Ellsworth police at 9:48 p.m. at Grant and Cairns streets.
  • Cows were reported in the road at 11:35 p.m. at 570th Avenue and County Road CC, Elmwood. The owner was able to get them back home.

 

Thursday, April 10

  • Deputies assisted EMS and Ellsworth police at 3:12 a.m. at 610 E. Main St.
  • At 7:15 a.m., police spoke to a farm employee about mud on the roadway at W2686 390th, Elmwood. He said he would take care of it.
  • Deputies assisted Prescott police with a search warrant at 9:19 a.m. at 803 Kinnickinnic St.
  • At 3:40 p.m., police spoke with a complainant at N7344 1090th, River Falls, about issues with a neighbor. They also had illegal DNR concerns.
  • Police were advised of an animal complaint at 3:44 p.m. at W8564 640th, Ellsworth.
  • Deputies assisted fire/EMS with a carbon monoxide alarm at 3:58 p.m. at W7377 Highway 10, Ellsworth.
  • At 4:51 p.m., a caller requested a welfare check on a man, possibly handicapped, on the side of the road on Highway 35 near 1208th Street, Prescott. He wasn’t located.
  • Deputies conducted a welfare check at 5:55 p.m. at W11778 Highway 35, Prescott. The people there said they’d had an argument but nothing physical had occurred. They appeared to be fine.
  • Deputies assisted Ellsworth police with a medical call at 9:50 p.m. at 591 N. Maple St.
  • Officers responded to a family altercation at 11:11 p.m. at W3168 40th, Maiden Rock. After interviewing those involved, they agreed to stay separate for the evening.

 

Friday, April 11

  • Police observed a suspicious vehicle with expired 2021 plates at 12:20 a.m. at Main Street and Pine Avenue, Plum City. The owner said he took it out of storage.
  • Officers conducted a welfare check at 9:20 a.m. at W3168 40th, Maiden Rock. The person was fine and was sleeping in.
  • Two missing dogs were reported at 10:12 a.m. at N5932 Highway 63, Ellsworth. They returned home.
  • At 11 a.m., police were informed of a vehicle trespassing on BNSF land at W4363 Highway 35, Maiden Rock. The person was gone when police arrived.
  • At 11:07 a.m., police spoke with people about possible slander and harassment at W7867 County Road K, Ellsworth.
  • A dog owner was warned for their animals running loose at 11:48 a.m. at W11974 757th, River Falls.
  • Deputies served a temporary restraining order to a respondent at 2:30 p.m. at W3521 Highway 35, Maiden Rock.
  • Officers assisted RF police with a disturbance at 8:42 p.m. at 220 S. Third St.
  • Deputies assisted Ellsworth police with an OWI stop at 9:14 p.m. at W6087 Highway 10.
  • Deputies assisted Ellsworth police with an ordinance call at 10:01 p.m. at 192 Evergreen Estates St. The suspect had the fire put out when police arrived.

 

Saturday, April 12

  • Police checked on a suspicious vehicle parked at a closed business at 12:23 a.m. at W6518 Highway 35, Bay City. All seemed to be in order.
  • Deputies were dispatched to assist EMS at 1:14 a.m. at Sugars (N1620 County Road VV, Hager City).
  • Deputies assisted Ellsworth police with a disturbance at 2:10 a.m. at 459 W. Main St.
  • Police were dispatched to a barking dog/welfare check call at 12:09 p.m. at W12655 570th, Prescott. The homeowner said the dog doesn’t get along with the visitors who were at the residence.
  • Police assisted EMS with a medical at 2:03 p.m. at W1515 130th, Maiden Rock.
  • A civil property dispute was reported at 2:52 p.m. at S105 Newman Ave., Spring Valley. The complainant was told the issue would be addressed in court.

 

Sunday, April 13

  • Deputies assisted Ellsworth police with a traffic stop at 1:06 a.m. at Main and Chestnut streets.
  • Deputies assisted Prescott police with a traffic stop at 2:23 a.m. at Canton and Pine streets.
  • Deputies assisted Prescott police with a welfare check at 2:50 a.m. at 236 Broad St.
  • Police responded to a home alarm at 6:57 a.m. at N2717 County Road K, Hager City.
  • At 9:42 a.m., a caller reported a woman sitting on the roadway near a vehicle in the ditch at County Road C and 320th Avenue, Ellsworth. The vehicle was not involved in an accident and the woman was not the driver. She was provided a courtesy ride.
  • Police assisted EMS with a medical at 10:11 a.m. at 111 S. Pond St.
  • Officers conducted a welfare check at 12:14 p.m. at W8556 650th, River Falls.
  • Deputies assisted EMS with a medical at 12:31 p.m. at N6547 720th, Beldenville.
  • A suspicious vehicle was reported at 10:17 p.m. at N5171 732nd, Ellsworth. The driver was talking to their brother.
  • Deputies assisted Prescott police with a welfare check at 11:37 p.m. at 1200 Henry St. A man was taken to Pierce County Jail on a warrant.

 

Monday, April 14

  • Deputies responded to a medical call at 1:05 a.m. at S820 Westland Drive, Spring Valley.
  • A stolen road sign was reported at 8:41 a.m. at 820th Street and 710th Avenue, River Falls.
  • Police checked on a suspicious vehicle parked in the weeds at the back of a parking lot at 11:37 a.m. at 610 E. Main St., Ellsworth. A man was sleeping inside.
  • A theft was reported at 12:46 p.m. at N3941 Highway 35, Prescott.
  • Police assisted State Patrol with a traffic stop at 1:02 p.m. at Highway 65 and 920th Street, River Falls. A woman was arrested.
