The following incidents were reported to Pierce County Sheriff's Office March 31 through April 7, 2025.

Monday, March 31

  • Officers assisted EMS at 8:32 a.m. at N7424 County Road BB, Spring Valley.
  • Deputies responded to a domestic altercation involving an adult and juvenile at 2:46 p.m. at a home on Maple Street in Bay City. The parties were separated.
  • Officers assisted with a civil standby at 4:12 p.m. while a man gathered belongings from S320 Sabin Ave., Spring Valley.
  • Police and the township were notified of a big pothole at 6:14 p.m. at W363 850th, Spring Valley.
  • Deputies were called at 7:36 p.m. to W3223 690th, Spring Valley, for an unresponsive man. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
  • Police responded at 9:15 p.m. at N1817 785th, Hager City, where a wanted man was threatening others. He left prior to police’s arrival and crossed into Minnesota.
  • A man called in a noise complaint at 10:35 p.m. at W9341 830th, River Falls. He was notified there is no noise ordinance in the county.
  • Officers received a miscellaneous shooting complaint at 10:43 p.m. near County Road E and 710th Avenue, River Falls. Nothing was located.
  • Police responded to a disabled vehicle in the traffic lane at 11:16 p.m. on Highway 63 at 210th Avenue, Hager City. The driver said the transmission had failed.
  • Suspicious activity was reported at 11:40 p.m. at W312 350th, Arkansaw.

 

Tuesday, April 1

  • Police conducted a traffic stop for defective exhaust at 1:29 a.m. at County Road D and 370th Avenue, Bay City. The two occupants were arrested for possession of narcotics.
  • Officers assisted EMS with a medical at 9:43 a.m. at W11816 769th, River Falls.
  • Deputies responded to a two-vehicle crash at 11:10 a.m. at 570th Avenue and 1200th Street, Prescott. A woman thought another driver was turning left when he was turning right from a stop sign and she turned into the ditch.
  • Officers were dispatched to a two-vehicle crash with possible injury at 12:17 p.m. at 450th Avenue and County Road C, Ellsworth.
  • At 1:42 p.m., police collected a license plate from a man who found it near County Road C and 170th Avenue, Hager City. They returned it to the owner, who didn’t know he’d lost it.
  • At 4:31 p.m., deputies were informed a man ran a woman off the road at County Road and 490th Avenue, Ellsworth, then hit her vehicle again with truck after an argument.
  • At 4:50 p.m., police spoke with residents at N5770 1000th, Ellsworth, about their dogs running at large. They were warned that future infractions could result in a citation.
  • Deputies responded to a one-vehicle crash at 5:04 p.m. at Highway 35 and 1200th Street, Prescott.
  • Police responded to a custody dispute at 7:05 p.m. at a gas station at N1817 785th, Hager City. Officers helped negotiate a peaceful resolution.
  • Deputies were called to a one-vehicle rollover at 10:16 p.m. at Highway 63 and County Road K, Ellsworth.

 

Wednesday, April 2

  • A vehicle slid into the ditch at 12:43 p.m. at Pine Street and Race Avenue, Elmwood.
  • Police observed a vehicle in the ditch at 6:42 a.m. at 610th Street and 570th Avenue, Ellsworth. They also notified Pierce Pepin since a power pole was struck.
  • At 2:19 p.m., police performed a dog check for Pierce County Public Health at W8328 Highway 35, Hager City.
  • At 5 p.m., police spoke with a complainant at W6748 450th, Ellsworth, about threats being made on social media.
  • Deputies were dispatched to a suspicious activity call at 10:43 p.m. at W2801 230th, Maiden Rock. The caller believes his neighbors are hacking into his Wi-Fi security cameras. No damage or missing items were reported.

 

Thursday, April 3

  • Police stood by for a property exchange at 10:14 a.m. at W123 County Road X, Plum City.
  • At 1:33 p.m., a caller at N5770 1000th, Ellsworth, reported repeated assaults that have been happening since they were a child. They agreed to fill out a written statement.
  • Police located a deceased person when performing a welfare check at 2:55 p.m. at N4160 County Road S, Plum City.
  • A cow was on the run at 3:10 p.m. at W2052 County Road G, Elmwood. It was secured by its owner.
  • Police were dispatched to a two-vehicle crash with property damage at 5:51 p.m. at highways 63 and 35, Hager City.
  • Deputies arrested a man with multiple warrants at 7:34 p.m. at 1011 State St., River Falls.
  • Police were called to a one-vehicle crash with property damage at 7:43 p.m. at W4890 Highway 29, Spring Valley. The driver didn’t have a valid driver’s license.
  • Officers were called at 8:17 p.m. to the area of N1959 830th, Hager City, for an aggressive dog. None were located.
  • Police were dispatched to a suicide attempt at 9:01 p.m. W4419 Highway 29, Spring Valley. A subject was detained and transported to a mental health facility.
  • At 9:17 p.m., a juvenile called police from a 230th Avenue (Bay City) address because their parents were fighting and they didn’t feel safe at the residence.

 

Friday, April 4

  • Police responded to a vehicle in the ditch at 5:43 p.m. at 620th Street and County Road EE, Bay City. The driver had run out of fuel. He was arrested for operate without valid license and three counts of misdemeanor bail jumping.
  • At 9:04 a.m., police contacted all parties involved with ruts in a field at N720 300th, Maiden Rock. The issue was resolved.
  • A caller reported cattle near the roadway at 9:33 a.m. at Highway 29 and 660th Street, River Falls. None were located.
  • Police met with a juvenile and school staff at 11:15 a.m. at 907 Main St., Plum City, about vaping that may have occurred on the bus.
  • Officers responded to a two-vehicle crash without injuries at 12:18 p.m. at highways 29 and 63 near Martell.
  • Police were dispatched to a grass fire at 12:58 p.m. at W11610 504th, Prescott, that was heading toward a wooded area.
  • Deputies were notified of an animal complaint at 2:08 p.m. at Wall and Main streets, Ellsworth.
  • Police assisted Red Wing EMS with a medical at 3:43 p.m. at W7974 150th, Hager City.
  • Officers were notified of a dog-on-dog attack at 4:56 p.m. at N3247 875th, Hager City. The parties agreed to handle the matter on their own after police interviews.
  • A minor crash was reported at 6:10 p.m. at W7866 170th, Hager City.
  • Police were notified of an accident without injuries at 6:28 p.m. at 690th Street and County Road V, Ellsworth.
  • Deputies received an animal complaint at 7:38 p.m. at W10785 566th, Prescott.
  • Police checked on a suspicious man carrying a bag and another large item from the roadside to his vehicle at 7:43 p.m. at W5706 Highway 72, Ellsworth. He was picking up garbage and recycling.
  • Officers conducted a welfare check on a man who left home at 10:04 p.m. N617 Foote Ave., Spring Valley. He eventually returned.

Saturday, April 5

  • Police responded to an active fight at 2:02 a.m. at N673 825th, Hager City. One person was possibly unconscious. Another person was arrested for disorderly conduct and battery. Other people involved left before police arrived.
  • Deputies assisted Prescott police in locating a person at 3:31 a.m. at 1010 Hampshire St.
  • At 3:35 a.m., a man at N617 Foote Ave., Spring Valley, called police wanting a ride to Red Wing. He was returned home.
  • Police located a stop sign and post completely knocked down at 7:22 a.m. at First Street and Birch Avenue, Plum City.
  • Officers assisted EMS at 3:44 p.m. at 818 W. Partridge Ave., Elmwood. A woman was transported to the hospital.
  • Deputies assisted River Falls police at 5:06 p.m. at 2354 Aurora Circle.
  • Deputies assisted Ellsworth police with a traffic stop at 5:31 p.m. at Morse and Main streets.
  • At 5:35 p.m., a woman at W1229 Lois St., Spring Valley, requested a welfare check on her husband who had made concerning statements. He told police via phone that he was avoiding home to take a break from marital issues.
  • At 7:41 p.m., police found an older male Black Lab running loose at N7849 County Road P, Spring Valley. The township was notified.
  • Deputies assisted Ellsworth police at 9:51 p.m. at Grove and Maple streets.
  • At 10:02 a.m., a caller reported people walking in the roadway at W12925 Highway 29, Prescott. Nobody was located.

 

Sunday, April 6

  • Deputies assisted RF police at 12:32 a.m. at 116 N. Main St.
  • At 2:38 a.m., police stopped a vehicle for speeding at Highway 29 and 620th Street, River Falls. The driver was arrested for OWI-second and possessing open intoxicants in motor vehicle.
  • At 8:40 a.m., a caller reported someone possibly stealing railroad ties on 985th Street in Hager City. The suspect vehicle wasn’t located.
  • Deputies assisted RF police with a motorcycle crash at 1:47 p.m. at 759 River Ridge Road.
  • Deputies assisted Prescott police at 5:57 p.m. at 2065 Pleasant Drive.
  • Police responded to a domestic at 8:16 p.m. at S105 Newman Ave., Spring Valley. Police collected statements from both parties.
  • Officers were dispatched to a one-vehicle rollover at 9:20 p.m. at Public Street and Partridge Avenue, Elmwood. There were no injuries.

 

Monday, April 7

Police received a suspicious activity call about a vehicle at the end of a driveway at 6:57 a.m. at W7588 County Road V, Ellsworth. The driver didn’t have a valid license.
