As your state representative for Wisconsin's 93rd Assembly District, I am continually inspired by the spirit of community that defines our area. From the bustling streets of River Falls to the peaceful fields of Ellsworth's farmland, and the lively neighborhoods of Eau Claire, it's evident we're a district of neighbors who deeply value our community bonds and our shared future. That is why in every E-update my office publishes, at the bottom is "community events."
One of the most powerful ways we can nurture and sustain this spirit is through community engagement and volunteerism. These actions not only enrich the lives of individuals but also strengthen the fabric of our entire district.
Volunteerism, in particular, embodies the selflessness and compassion that are hallmarks of our community. Whether it's volunteering at a local food pantry, helping to organize a community event, or mentoring a young person, each act of service contributes to the well-being of our neighbors and enhances the quality of life for everyone. I have had the privilege of witnessing firsthand the impact of volunteer efforts in our district. From the dedicated volunteers who clean up our parks and trails to those who give their time at senior centers and schools, your commitment to making a difference is truly commendable.
Serving on the Scouting America Chippewa Valley Council Board of Directors allows me the privilege to actively support youth development and leadership initiatives, which are vital for shaping our future leaders. My engagement with numerous Conservation and Sporting Clubs underscores my dedication to preserving our natural resources and enhancing outdoor recreational opportunities for all residents. Additionally, I am honored to contribute to the Cleghorn Lions Club, Sons of American Legion, Gold Star Mothers, and various Veterans organizations, where I passionately advocate for and honor the invaluable contributions of our service members and their families. These roles not only strengthen our community bonds but also promote a sustainable future built on values of service and inclusivity.
For those eager to engage, our district offers abundant resources. Consider exploring opportunities with esteemed local organizations like the River Falls Community Food Pantry, Ellsworth Area Chamber of Commerce, and the dedicated volunteers at the Eau Claire Volunteer Fire Department. If you're seeking more options, websites such as VolunteerMatch.org provide additional avenues to find meaningful ways to contribute. Feel free to reach out to my office directly as well; we're here to connect you with opportunities that resonate with your desire to make a positive impact in our community.
Community engagement goes beyond volunteering—it encompasses active participation in local decision-making processes, attending town hall meetings, and voicing your concerns and ideas. When we engage with each other in meaningful dialogue and collaborate on initiatives that benefit our community, we foster a sense of unity and shared purpose.
Together, let's continue to uphold the spirit of community that defines Wisconsin's 93rd Assembly District. By working hand in hand, we can achieve great things and create a more vibrant and inclusive community for all. And as always, my team and I are here to assist you.
