RIVER FALLS - The UW-River Falls football team improved to No. 4 in both of this week's American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) Division III Coaches' and D3football.com Top 25 polls.
The ranking marks the highest in program history by a national coaches vote and a national media outlet as the Falcons' historic rise in the rankings continues to climb. UWRF was ranked No. 5 in both the AFCA and D3football.com polls last week and has been ranked inside the D3football.com top 10 for the fifth week in a row.
UWRF is coming off a 49-7 win at UW-Eau Claire on Saturday, Oct. 7 to improve to 5-0 overall, the strongest start to a season in program history since 1993.
The Falcons host No. 7/11-ranked UW-Whitewater this Saturday, Oct. 14 at Ramer Field.
