PIERCE COUNTY Accident Reports

Police responded to a one-vehicle crash at 12:34 a.m. April 24 on Highway 63 just west of Highway 72 in the town of Ellsworth. A 2008 Mazda MZ3, driven by Braeden Thomas Riley, 19, River Falls, was heading west on Highway 72. Riley said he was going around the curve and hit the ditch. He said he never saw the stop sign, which caused him to go through the T-intersection before entering the ditch, where he caused ruts and got stuck. The vehicle had to be towed due to disabling damage. Riley wore a seat belt and reported no injuries. He was cited for failure to stop at a stop sign.

Deputies responded to a one-vehicle hit-and-run crash scene at 3:25 p.m.

April 25 on County Road Y just south of County Road M in the town of Rush River (St. Croix County). An unknown vehicle, believed to be traveling northbound on County Road Y just north of Highway 29, struck a power line that was going across County Road Y. The power line broke ou from the pole and the pole was pulled from the ground slightly. A power line going into an electrical meter at N8605 County Road Y was broken as well, resulting in the electrical meter being pulled from the house.

The vehicle fled the scene. Ovcers responded to a one-vehicle hit-and-run crash scene at 7:51 p.m. April 30 on 130th Avenue just west of 170th Street in the town of Maiden Rock. An unknown vehicle was traveling east on 130th Avenue, crossed the center line, went ou the road to the left and struck a power pole before fleeing the scene.
