PRESCOTT – This year, Prescott joined Under Armour’s Women of Will program, becoming the fourth school in Wisconsin to join. This leadership academy empowers female athletes with skills and tools to become leaders within their teams, school, and community.
The first WoW Day was held on Friday during the girls basketball game against Ellsworth. Female participants played games prior and the WoW Committee organized a girls-only student cheering section for Prescott girls 4K through eighth grade.
“I am proud of our leaders for putting this event together for the girls of our community,” said Athletic Director Andrew Caudill.
Students who were nominated by their coaches included Rian Engeldinger, Abby Overland, Izzy Metz, Katrina Budworth, Reese Ptacek, Leah French, Ava Salay, Rhi Stutz, Izzy Matzek, Lila Posthuma, Kianna Severson, Marissa Shelstad, Kendra Ogilvie, Megan Richter, Jeanne Rohl, Norah French, and Mackenzie Hegland.
Emily Calabrese and Tracey Budworth lead the academy this year by teaching lessons provided by Under Armour/BSN.
