Deputies responded at 3:50 p.m. June 12 to a two-vehicle crash at highways 63 and 10 in the town of Trimbelle between a 2022 GMC Terrain, driven by Arthur Franklin Scharf, 79, Aitkin, Minn., and a 2021 Honda Pilot, driven by Kyley Lynn Lindholm, 33, Red Wing, Minn. Scharf was heading northbound on US Highway 63 and pulled into the right-turn lane at the intersection with Highway 10. Lindholm, who was behind Scharf, struck his rear bumper. Lindholm said she thought Scharf had driven forward but she didn’t see him stop again. Both vehicles had minor damage. Both drivers and passengers, Frances Genevieve Scharf, 78, Aitkin, Minn., and a 7-year-old boy with Lindholm, wore seat belts and reported no injuries.

Police responded at 9:11 p.m. June 18 to a three-vehicle crash on US Highway 63 just south of 825th Street in the town of Trenton between a 2016 Ford Focus, driven by Shelby Brooke Rector, 20, Santa Fe, Tenn.; a 2005 Ford F350 pulling a full trailer (owned by Rally J. Witzel, Waseca, Minn.), driven by Patrick Donavon Kruger, 41, Ellendale, Minn.; and a 2014 Honda CRV, driven by Barton Johnston Lindgren, 55, Rochester, Minn. Rector was eating food, which caused her vehicle to cross the center line and strike the trailer being pulled by Kruger, who was heading south. Rector bounced off the trailer and stopped in the northbound lane. The trailer was hauling a Chevrolet Suburban, which didn’t get damaged. However, the trailer had disabling damage; the fender and axle were torn off. The tire flew off and struck the front end of Lindgren’s vehicle, which was traveling behind Kruger going southbound. Rector’s vehicle was towed due to disabling damage. The trailer had no insurance on it. Lindgren’s vehicle had minor damage, while Kruger’s Ford had no damage. All drivers wore seat belts and reported no injuries. A 15-year-old passenger in Kruger’s truck wore a seat belt and reported no injuries. A passenger with Lindgren, Wade Dijon Lindgren, 53, Bloomington, Minn., wore a seat belt and reported no injuries. Rector was cited for operating left of center.

Deputies were notified of a two-vehicle crash at 1:59 p.m. June 19 that had occurred at 1:40 p.m. on Main Street in Elmwood. A 2006 Pontiac Torrent, driven by Emily Mary Ann Herman, 80, Elmwood, struck a legally parked 2016 Chevrolet Silverado, owned by Mark James Hagenkord, Arkansaw. Herman got her vehicle stuck on Hagenkord’s truck as she backed out, somehow got it loose and left the scene without reporting the incident. A witness gave police her information. Police responded to her residence, where she told them that if she did hit him, he was maybe parked too close to her. Her vehicle, parked in the driveway, had minor damage. She was cited for hit and run property adjacent to highway. Hagenkord’s truck had minor damage. No one reported any injuries.

Officers responded to a one-vehicle crash at 10:04 p.m. June 19 on County Road QQ just south of 1090th Street in the town of Oak Grove. A 2019 Nissan Rogue, driven by Vicki Lyn Wol, 63, New Richmond, was traveling north on County Road QQ and failed to negotiate a left-hand curve, left the roadway to the right, hit the ditch, partially jumped onto 1090th Street, traveled over 1090th and came to rest in the ditch on the northeast side of the intersection. The vehicle was towed due to disabling damage. Wol and two passengers, ages 11 (from New Richmond) and 2 (from Oakdale, Minn.), wore seat belts and reported no injuries. Alcohol use was suspected.

Deputies responded at 8:18 p.m. Wednesday, June 22 to a motorcycle crash on Highway 128 near 770th Avenue in the town of Spring Lake. Quentin Berhow, 17, New Richmond, was operating a 2012 Yamaha northbound on Highway 128 when he lost control while negotiating a curve and slid into a guardrail. Life Link III Helicopter transported him to Regions Hospital in St. Paul with undisclosed injuries. Elmwood Fire Department, Elmwood Area Ambulance Service, Spring Valley Fire, Ellsworth Area Ambulance and Life Link III assisted Pierce County Sheriff’s Office at the scene.

Officers responded at 9:17 p.m. Thursday, June 23 to a single-vehicle crash with in- jury on 810th Street near US Highway 10 in the town of Trimbelle. Stacey Radunz, 42, Hudson, was operating a 2007 Dodge Caravan southbound on 810th Street when he lost control and entered the west ditch. Ellsworth Area Ambulance transported Radunz to Mayo Hospital in Red Wing, Minn., with un- disclosed injuries. Ellsworth Area Ambulance Service, Ellsworth Fire Department and Ellsworth Police Department assisted PCSO at the scene.

Deputies responded at 2:28 p.m. Saturday, June 25 to a single-motorcycle crash on State Highway 35 near 170th Avenue in the town of Trenton. Tina Stubbs-Sow, 48, Hudson, was operating a 2021 Harley Davidson southbound on Highway 35 when she lost control, crossed the center line and drove into the north ditch. Red Wing Ambulance Service transported her to Mayo Hospital in Red Wing with undisclosed injuries. Red Wing Ambulance Service and Ellsworth Fire assisted PCSO at the scene.

Police were sent at 2:55 p.m. Sunday, June 26 to a single-motorcycle crash on County Road A near 330th Avenue in the town of Salem. Jerey Schmidt, 53, Spring Valley, was operating a 2010 Harley Davidson County Road A when he lost control and entered the east ditch. Ellsworth Area Ambulance transported him to Red Wing Mayo Hospital with undisclosed injuries. Ellsworth Area Ambulance and Ellsworth Fire assisted PCSO at the scene.

Deputies were dispatched at 2:56 p.m. Sunday, June 26 for single-motorcycle crash on State Road 35 near 370th Street in the town of Diamond Bluff. Richard Esquivel, 63, Eden Prairie, Minn., was operating a 2007 Harley Davidson southbound on State Road 35 when a wild turkey entered the road and struck the motorcycle. Esquivel attempted to stop and lost control, crashing into the road. Red Wing Ambulance Service transported him to Mayo Hospital in Red Wing with undisclosed injuries. Prescott Police Department, Ellsworth Fire and Red Wing Fire assisted PCSO at the scene.
