PIERCE COUNTY Accident Reports

Police responded to a one-vehicle crash at 10:59 p.m. Feb. 8 on 610th Avenue six-tenths of a mile west of 670th Street in the town of Ellsworth. A 2002 Chrysler Sebring, driven by Madison Lee Waldron, 24, River Falls, was heading west on 610th Avenue. She was traveling too fast as she approached a left-handed corner. When she applied the brakes, the vehicle’s front tires slid across the roadway, causing the vehicle to enter the ditch where it struck a tree. Waldron wore a seat belt and reported no injuries. The vehicle was towed due to disabling damage. Waldron was cited for failure to keep vehicle under control.

Deputies responded to a one-vehicle crash at 12:03 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 13 on Highway 29 west of 1170th Street in the town of Oak Grove. A 2010 Chevrolet Cobalt, driven by Fletcher Wheadon, 16, River Falls, lost control, entered the north ditch and rolled over. Allina Emergency Medical Services transported Wheadon to Regions Hospital in St. Paul with undetermined injuries. Davis Wheadon, a 16-year-old passenger in the vehicle, was taken by Hastings Area Ambulance to Regions Hospital in St. Paul as well, with undetermined injuries. Allina EMS, Hastings Area EMS, Prescott Fire and Prescott Police Department assisted Pierce County Sheriff’s Office at the scene.
