PIERCE COUNTY Accident Reports
Police responded to a vehicle vs. tree crash at 10:25 p.m. Jan. 5 on Highway 65 just east of 770th Avenue in the town of River Falls. A 2016 Ram 1500, driven by Jacob David Koltz, 23, Wausau, was traveling southbound on Highway 65 when it ran off the road, entered the west side ditch, travelled through the ditch and struck a tree. The vehicle was towed due to disabling damage. Koltz, who wore a seat belt, reported no injuries. He was cited for operate without valid license (second within three years) and failure to keep vehicle under control.
Officers were notified of a one-vehicle crash at 9:28 a.m. Jan. 9 that had occurred at 11 p.m. Jan. 8 on 570th Avenue east of US Highway 10 in the town of Oak Grove. A 2018 GMC Acadia, driven by Nichole Noel Doyle, 42, Ellsworth, was traveling eastbound on 570th when it lost control and entered the south side ditch. The vehicle struck a snowbank and all side curtain airbags deployed. The vehicle was towed due to disabling damage. Doyle, who wore a seat belt, reported no injuries.
Deputies responded to a one-vehicle crash at 7:20 a.m. Jan. 11 near W10070 Highway 29 in the town of River Falls. A 2019 Volkswagen GTI, driven by Treigh Xavier Sutton, 25, Saint Louis Park, Minn., struck a recycling can in the westbound lane of traffic. The vehicle had functional damage. Sutton and a passenger, Theron Duchamp Drier, 43, River Falls, both wore seat belts and reported no injuries.
Police responded to a onevehicle crash at 4:46 p.m. Jan. 14 on US Highway 63 just south of County Road Y in the town of Martell. A 2007 Chevrolet CBT, driven by Majestik Ann Figi, 16, Menomonie, was going south on Highway 63 negotiating a left-hand curve during a snow storm. She lost control, spun out and went into the west ditch, where the vehicle struck a highway sign and became stuck in a deep snowbank. Figi and a 14-year-old passenger wore seat belts and reported no injuries. The vehicle was towed with disabling damage. Officers responded to a one-vehicle crash at 6:48 p.m. Jan. 14 on Highway 29 just south of 640th Avenue in the town of Clifton. A 2012 Volkswagen Eos, driven by Julia Elizabeth Noll, 63, Apple Valley, Minn., was traveling east on Highway 29. The vehicle started to smoke, so the driver pulled over and soon the vehicle was engulfed in flames. The fire’s cause is unknown. Noll was the lone occupant and exited the vehicle before getting injured. The vehicle was towed due to disabling damage. Deputies responded to a one-vehicle crash at 8:32 p.m. Jan. 14 on County Road C one-third mile south of 250th Avenue in the town of Hartland. A 2004 Honda CRV, driven by Aaron Fredrick Windsor, 18, Ellsworth, was traveling south, lost control and entered the ditch, where it overturned. The vehicle was towed due to disabling damage. Windsor wore a seat belt and reported no injuries.
Officers responded to a one-vehicle crash at 3:23 a.m. Jan. 15 on 425th Street just south of County Road G in the town of El Paso. A 2012 Nissan Armada, driven by John Lee Skogen, 54, Elmwood, failed to negotiate a curve, entered the ditch, struck an embankment and a guideline for a power pole before getting stuck in the snow. The vehicle was towed due to disabling damage. Skogen and passenger Sarah Jean fish, 32, Elmwood, wore seat belts and reported no injuries. Skogen was cited for OWI, failure to keep vehicle under control and operating with PAC.
Police responded to a twovehicle crash at 10:20 a.m. Jan. 15 at County Road J and 690th Avenue in the town of Martell between a 2018 Toyota 4Runner, driven by Roger Lee Dingbaum, 61, Eastman, and a 2012 Chevrolet Silverado, driven by Lucas Du Rand Fuerst, 31, Beldenville. Dingbaum was traveling south on County Road J, while Fuerst was heading west on 690th Avenue and pulled out from the stop sign in front of Dingbaum. The two collided and came to rest on the west shoulder of J. Both vehicles were towed due to disabling damage. Both drivers wore seat belts and reported no injuries. Passengers Nicole Marie Fuerst, 31, Beldenville, and a 1-year-old child were also properly restrained and reported no injuries.
Deputies responded to a one-vehicle crash at 6:13 p.m. Jan. 15 on County Road E one-quarter mile south of US Highway 10 in the town of Oak Grove. A 2011 Chevrolet Malibu, operated by Nicholas Duane Nordenskjold, 21, Red Wing, Minn., was traveling south on County Road E when it lost control on snowcovered roads. Nordenskjold crossed the center line, entered the northbound lane of traffic, overcorrected, causing the vehicle to slide. The vehicle slid across both lanes of traffic and entered the east ditch, where the left front axle broke from the impact. The vehicle continued through the ditch before driving through a fence, breaking off fence posts. Nordenskjold left the scene without contacting law enforcement. The vehicle was towed due to disabling damage. Nordenskjold wore a seat belt and reported no injuries.
