At 3:47 p.m. Aug. 25, officers were called to a semi vs. vehicle crash in the Bluff’s Bar (N1833 130th Ave., Hager City) parking lot between a 2019 Frht Cascada, operated by

Thomas Arold Langreck, 50, EAu Claire, and a legally parked 2017 Chevrolet Malibu, owned by Viking Coca Cola, St. Cloud, Minn. The semi-trailer was backing up in the parking lot and Langreck did not see the unoccupied Malibu. He struck it in the rear driver’s side bumper. He wore a seat belt and reported no injuries. The semi had no damage, while the Malibu had functional damage.

At 4:09 a.m. Aug. 27, officers responded to a one-vehicle crash on Highway 10 .42 miles west of 50th Street in the town of Union. A 2019 Chevrolet Silverado, operated by Dulan George Depestel, 28, Utica, Minn., was heading eastbound on Highway 10 when he crossed into the westbound lane, drifted into the north ditch (a guard rail being replaced was not in place) and struck several trees lining the north ditch. An intoxicated passenger in the vehicle requested help via 911. Depestel said he had tried to avoid a deer in the roadway that had run up the embankment. After he exited the crashed vehicle, he fell down a slope and struck his head. Depestel and his passenger, Alexander Patrick Steffel, 29, Lake Lillian, Minn., both wore seat belts; an ambulance transported them to the hospital with suspected injuries. The vehicle was towed and had functional damage.

At 5:04 p.m. Aug. 30, deputies were called to a two-vehicle crash on Highway 63 in the town of Trenton between a 2005 Chevy Impala, driven by Peter Jeffrey Manuche Olson, 19, Ellsworth, and a 2006 Mazda MZ3, driven by

Clinton Matthias Stocker, 40, Montgomery, Minn. Olson was southbound on Highway 63, as was Stocker. Stocker slowed to go around a box that was in the southbound lane of traffic and Olson rear-ended Stocker’s vehicle. Both drivers wore seat belts and reported no injuries. Stocker’s vehicle had functional damage, while Olson’s vehicle had to be towed due to disabling damage.

At 5:19 p.m., deputies responded to a vehicle vs. guard rail crash at N4680 County Road O in the town of Trimbelle. A 2011 GMC Sierra, driven by Diana Lynn Morth, 59, Ellsworth, was leaving her driveway and impacted the right rear portion of her vehicle into the guard rail end. Morth, who wore a seat belt, reported no injuries. The vehicle had functional damage and had been moved before police arrived.

At 6:05 p.m. Sept. 4, deputies were called to a fatal motorcycle crash on Highway 35 just west of 1050th Street in the town of Oak Grove. A 2017 Harley Davidson FLHX, driven by

Ronald George Bithell, 59, Minneapolis, was traveling northbound on Highway 35, crossed the center line and entered the west ditch. Bithell, who did not have a helmet on, was thrown from the motorcycle; his injuries were fatal. Alcohol use was suspected and test results are pending. The motorcycle was towed due to disabling damage.

At 3:43 p.m. Sept. 7, officers responded to a two-vehicle crash on Highway 10 three-quarters of a mile west of 620th Avenue in the town of Oak Grove between a 2016 Chevrolet Silverado, driven by Annette Marie Pullen, 54, Ellsworth, and a 2017 Chevrolet Equinox, driven by

Tamara Lynn Wettstein, 46, Hudson. Pullen was heading eastbound on Highway 10 and didn’t see traffic slowing in front of her. She struck Wettstein’s vehicle in the rear and came to rest in the westbound lane. Wettstein’s vehicle came to rest on the westbound shoulder. Both drivers wore seat belts and reported no injuries. Pullen’s vehicle was towed due to disabling damage, while Wettstein’s Equinox had functional damage.
