The Prescott High School Forensics team competed in the Wisconsin High School Forensics Association (WHSFA) Statewide District tournament March 18-23. All 22 students (24 entries) advanced to the State tournament, which will be held virtually on April 16. Students submitted video entries, which were judged three times. They had to receive at least one score of 21 or higher in order to advance to the State level.
Leading the way for the Cardinals included the following students who had at least one perfect score (25 points): Sophia Tibayan (Public Address), Shelby Sizemore (Prose and Impromptu), Rian Engeldinger (Informative), Maddie Tibayan (Oratory), Kira Chesney (Storytelling), Jade Johnson (Prose), Faith Rohl (Prose), Emma Fiedler (Poetry), Ella Schommer (Oratory), and Addison Huppert ( Informative).
Additional students advancing to State include: Shayla Rein (Informative), Mallory Boles (Oratory), Madison Schmitz (Informative), Macy Cleasby (Public Address), Mabel Rohl (Radio News Reporting), Kyle Holtan (Moments in History), Kelcey Hanson (Oratory), Grace Gale (Storytelling), Erica Jennings (Informative), Ella Johnson (Public Address), Clinton Sizemore (Prose), and Abby Holz (Farrago and Prose).
