RIVER FALLS – Brooke Lee, the CEO of Anchor Paper, will be the next guest speaker for the Innovators Speaker Series presented by the University Business Collaboration Center (UBCC) at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls. Lee will speak at 6 p.m. Thursday, March 12, in room 194 at UWRF’s new Science and Technology Innovation Center (SciTech), 262 E. Cascade Ave. The event is free and open to the public.
Lee represents the fourth generation of her family to lead Anchor Paper, a role she took on at age 33. She has grown the St. Paul, Minn.-based paper and packaging products distributor during a time when the industry has experienced declining demand. She will share some of the innovative and collaborative approaches that have led to this success.
A reception with light refreshments will be held at 7 p.m., following the talk.
The next guest speaker in the series will be Kevin Westhuis, utility director at River Falls Municipal Utilities, on April 8.
