Ellsworth lost by just five last Monday to Colfax in their first of three games last week. The 9-6 Vikings won 67-62 after the Panthers lost the lead with just minutes to spare.
Mason Anderson led all scorers and rebounders with 28 points and 12 rebounds. Jack Janke finished with 19 points on 4-5 shooting from outside the arc. Spencer Schultz and Shane Lange fought hard on the boards and combined for 11 rebounds. Ivan Mendez and Janke also grabbed three apiece.
The next day, Ellsworth played at Mondovi. The Buffalo scored 34 points in the second half after the Panthers were up 28-20 to win 54-50.
Anderson hit five shots from behind the three-point line to finish with 19 points. Schultz finished with 13 and Janke chipped in 10 in the close loss.
Thursday, the Panthers traveled to Prescott. Mason Anderson led all scorers with 26 points but the Cardinals won, 92-70. Jack Janke also scored 15 points for the Panthers. Anderson and Schultz grabbed 8 and 7 boards, respectively.
The Panthers hosted St. Croix Central on Tuesday and will head to Amery Friday night.
