ELLSWORTH – The Ellsworth Public Library (388 W. Main St.) is a community gathering place filled with activities all throughout April.

Coming soon to the local history vault: 100 Years of the Ellsworth Public Library: 1924 -2024

In the Makerspace: Explore Sculpture qith weekly crafts and projects, pop-up crafts, coloring pages and board games.

April's Reading Adventure is Adventures in Art and Poetry: Track your reading, complete activities, earn bookmark or free ice cream coupon from The Pizza Arcade, as well as chances to win prizes. Stop by the library for a reading log or use our online Beanstack tracker.

Visit the library or our website to find out about how you can take the 1000 Hours Outside challenge or create your own goals to be more mindful and intentional about increasing your time outdoors and boost your mental health.

A solar eclipse is happening on April 8! The library has free eclipse viewing glasses available so that you can safely view this amazing phenomenon. Stop in and grab yours while supplies last.

Storytime - Fridays at 10:10 a.m. (Storytime Playspace)

Community Chess Club - Saturdays from 10 a.m. to noon (Meeting Room)

Stitchin' Time Crafters - Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to noon (Meeting Room)

April 8 at 10:30 a.m. is Tech Time: one-on-one tech help. Call the library for an appointment.

April 8 from 1-3 p.m., Solar Eclipse: Self-directed viewing and activities in the Makerspace

April 9 at 11 a.m. Discover Together Tuesday will be making resin coasters (Brush Strokes Art Supply) All ages welcome.

April 10 - Materials available in the Makerspace to create an entry into our Third Annual Mini Art Show. This year we've got a theme: 100 Years of Libraries. Create your entry at the library or pick up materials to work on at home. Entries due April 27.

April 11 at 10:30 a.m. Morning Book Club – “American Dirt” (Meeting Room)

April 15 from 4-5 p.m. Therapy Dog Maggie; call the library for an appointment.

LEGO at the Library: 3:30-5:30 p.m. April 16 (Makerspace)

Community Book Club: 6:30 p.m. April 28, “The Ways We Hide” with virtual author visit from Kristina McMorris (Meeting Room)

Robotics Exploration: 10 a.m. April 20; registration recommended (Makerspace)

Storywalk: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 20 at the East End Earth Day event.

Tuesday Tales Storytime: 10:10 a.m. April 23, in partnership with Pierce County Early Head Start (Storytime Playspace)

Teen Meet-up: Book Arts and Bites: 4 p.m. April 24; come make a squash book and enjoy some snacks (Teen Room)
