Diamond Bluff’s regular meeting of the town board was held last week Thursday at the Diamond Bluff Town Hall, overlooking the beautiful Mississippi River.
Clerk Todd Mehrkens announced that they saw 16 voters in the Wisconsin 2021 Spring Primary election for the Superintendent of Public Instruction, including an excited group of first-time voters.
The board reviewed a revised insurance quote and bonding information by teleconference with representatives from Rural Mutual Insurance. The representatives were back with answers after the board had some questions on the quote and policy at February’s meeting.
All questions appeared to be answered and the quote was accepted unanimously, although Chair Jeff Holst admitted he was still hung up about the pickle editorial published in last week’s edition of The Journal.
Holst and the rest of the attendants at the meeting looked at this reporter like he’s got kind of a crazy father and editor, and they may be right. Although, he’s right about the pickle business.
The Sea Wing Park Committee reported no new business. April is shaping up to be a busy month for Diamond Bluff with the Spring Election before the April 22nd town board meeting and Annual Town Meeting. The election machine public test will also occur in April.
