RIVER FALLS – Art’s House Summer Show Transformations features Ken Krautbauer, Sushila Anderson and Jennifer King. The show opened Aug. 6 and will go through Sept. 18. Rudy Rudesill provided lively guitar music for their Meet the Artist event Aug. 13.
Every piece in the gallery has gone through some brand of transformation. Krautbauer’s photography has gone through a radical color/thought transformation between the camera, computer edit and placement on canvas. Krautbauer’s photography is bright, colorful and ranges from $299 to $179.
Anderson’s glass has been cut, beveled, leaded, soldered and framed. Her work ranges from clear crystal geometrical beveled motifs to fancy Art Nouveau leaded, soldered stained glass. Price ranges from $800 to $75. Her pieces are a nice size to adorn most homes.
King’s love of the creation process is evident when you meet her. King’s Stoneware Porcelain has met with mid-fire oxidation temps of 2,200 F on its way to becoming pieces of usable art. King’s stoneware porcelain and earthenware is dishwasher and food safe and reasonably priced between $35 and $85.
Look for Art on the Kinni Saturday, Sept. 12, the first Saturday after Labor Day along the banks of the Kinnickinnic River in downtown River Falls.
