Season’s greetings to all our dear readers!

Each year, we ask area first graders (or other grades who want to participate) to write letters to Santa or holiday wishes. This year, some kids chose to write winter bucket lists with some pretty fun ideas.

Some kids write the letters with the help of parents or teachers; some choose to try it on their own. We print the letters exactly as they are written (or as close as we can decipher). This is one of our favorite editions of the year. How can your heart not melt after reading these sweet letters? A laugh or two is tucked into a few too.

Thank you to all the wonderful teachers who help us do this each year. Once the letters have been typed for the paper, we make sure to send them off to the North Pole.
