Bernard “Bernie” J. Driscoll, long time business owner in Prescott, Wis., passed on March 27, 2026. He was born Dec. 4, 1932 to John and Ellen (Cotter) Driscoll. Bernie attended Prescott Schools and graduated in 1950 as Valedictorian. He took a job at the Bank of Ellsworth and worked there until he was drafted in 1953. He spent two years training and working as a helicopter mechanic in Fort Riley, Kan. After the war, Bernie pursued an education as an accountant at the University of Minnesota (1955-1959). He worked for several companies after graduation as a CPA until he started his own CPA/Accounting business in Prescott in 1974. He sold his business in 2011 to Brady Accounting but continued working part-time until 2023. Bernie loved to golf, walk, read and be with family and friends.
He is preceded in death by Delores Brekken who he married in 1983 and has two stepchildren, Chris (Amy) Brekken and Chantelle Martineau. In honor of Bernie’s wishes, a private family service will be held at a later date.
