1932-2020
Beverly Jean (Hanvelt) Thompson, age 87, of Ellsworth died peacefully in her home on February 26, 2020 surrounded by loved ones. Beverly was born November 4, 1932 in Red Wing, Minnesota and was raised in Ellsworth, Wisconsin by her Grandparents, Daisy and Oscar Hanvelt. She graduated from Ellsworth High School in 1950.
Beverly enjoyed being around people and making them laugh. She was witty, funny and had a personality that lit up a room. Some of her hobbies included cooking and watching John Wayne movies. She loved music and her favorite thing to do was dance. She was a friend to everyone and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Beverly will remain in the hearts of her children, Vicky (Bob) Storing, Debbie (Tom) Dreyer, Nancy Borchardt, Sharon Pechacek, Timothy Thompson, Tony (Wendy) Thompson, Terry Thompson; 13 grandchildren, Christopher (Angela) Hampton, Becky (Chris) Dugan, Tracy Hecker, Brian Dreyer, Dena (Brian) Bonnier, Gregg (Liz) Thompson, Chad (Holly) Thompson, Ricky Harp, Charla (Bob) Lusk, Trevor Thompson, Krystal (Ben) Fairbanks, Jusdon (Kristen) Jones, Trenten Thompson; 28 great grandchildren; along with many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, her daughter, Susan Thompson, her son, Thomas Thompson, her grandson, Thomas Starr and her longtime companion, Al Thurber.
A celebration of life is being planned for a later date.
