Staff report
Natalie Ptacek has had a productive summer.
Ptacek is going to be a freshman at Prescott High School this fall, and she’s going to be ready to make an impact on the school volleyball program. She participated in two different volleyball tournaments this summer, in Las Vegas and Orlando over a two-week period. Her Northern Lights 14-1 team out of Burnsville, MN was pitted against some of the toughest teams in the nation.
In an AAU tournament in Orlando, the team took 13th out of 500 teams in five divisions.
“The team that beat us went on to win it. It was tough competition,” she said.
In Las Vegas, Northern Lights took third place.
“It was a lot of fun. It was a great experience,” she said.
Ptacek is further honing her skills at camps this summer.
