How did you get connected to the Great River Road Visitor & Learning Center?
I was one of the original founders of Friends of Freedom Park.
What part of the mission gets you most excited?
The unique position our great center occupies at the confluence of two world class rivers, the confluence of two National Parks, the gateway to the Great River Road and the Audubon Great River Birding Trail provides a unique educational experience for visitors from the area and all over the world.
What makes this organization special?
The many generous volunteers who help make the center run well.
How long have you been involved with the Friends of Freedom Park?
I've been involved from the beginning, helping with the preparation of the Articles of Incorporation and By-Laws of Friends of Freedom Park.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time (hobbies,
etc)?
Time with my family, fishing, hunting for and polishing agates, gardening, traveling, and reading numerous magazines like Nature Conservancy, Archaeology, Smithsonian, Big River, National Geographic, Arizona Highways and Wisconsin DNR.
