Derek "Bump" Ulvenes has been playing for the Bay City Bombers for the last 20 years. He's been helping manage the team the last few years, but, according to him, he's hanging up his Bomber spikes for good at the end of this season. Ulvenes is still one of the better hitters in the St. Croix Valley League (he hit .350 with 3 HRs this season) and is still in great shape, but his town ball days are done at the conclusion to this year's playoffs.
