The Prescott Cardinal football team had a rough night against Somerset, falling 26-0 on the road in a Middle Border Conference game Friday night.
The Cardinals played Somerset close in the first half and trailed just 6-0 at the half. The Spartans scored two thirdquarter touchdowns and added another in the fourth for the margin of victory.
Aiden Russell rushed 19 times for 59 yards for Prescott. Kyle Holman completed 2-7 passes for the Cardinals, with Brandon Peterson caching one for 23 yards.
Prescott was held to just 28 yards passing and 127 yards on the ground by Somerset, which rushed for 302 yards.
The loss dropped Prescott to 04 in conference play, 1-4 overall. Somerset moved to 3-1. The Cardinals play at St. Croix Central Friday before closing the season at home Nov. 6 against Amery.
