Funeral service for Carol Marie Marson will be held Friday, May 7 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Red Wing. Visitation is at 10 a..m. with an 11 a.m. funeral. Burial service follows immediately at Calvary Cemetery in Red Wing, MN. A reception will follow at Bay City Legion Hall inBay City, WI.
Carole Marie (Anderson) Marson, age 84 passed away on Friday, November 20, 2020 at St. Crispin’s long term care facility in Red Wing, Minnesota where she had resided for the past 2 years. Carole was born on December 18, 1935 to Verne and Evelyn Anderson in rural Ophiem, Illinois and she graduated from Aledo- Woodhull High School in 1953. She met her future husband John Marson on a blind date and they were married on July 14, 1954 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Hudson, Wisconsin.
Carole was a homemaker for many years and also worked at St. John’s Hospital later in life as a dietary aide. Carole and John recently celebrated 66 years of marriage and throughout the time raised 9 children and welcomed 22 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren to the family, with more on the way. Along with the many family activities, they had a lifelong hobby of camping and travel; especially enjoying many visits to the North Shore of Minnesota and Wisconsin.
Carole was a generous and caring person who even with a big family, always made sure that there was room for more around the table. She had a deep faith in her Savior, Jesus Christ and this has guided her through many physical challenges in her life. Carole is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, John Marson of Bay City and formerly Hudson and Ellsworth, WI, her 5 sons and 4 daughters: Robert Marson of Bay City, WI, Terri Werner (Mike) of Cumberland, WI, Debbie Marson of Bay City, WI, Keith Marson (Leanne) of Dandridge, TN, Joe Marson (Wendy) of River Falls, WI, Annette Langer (Jim) of Ellsworth, WI, Henry Marson (Peggy) of Ellsworth, WI, Mary Gadient (Bob)of Goodhue MN, and Steve Marson (Sherry) of Ellsworth, WI. She is also survived by her many grandchildren and great grandchildren, sisters Kathy Cousins of Milltown, WI, Sonja Anderson of Hastings, MN, and brother in law Tom Marson of Hudson, WI and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her infant twin brother Gerald, infant sister Judith, sister Jeanette Andersen, brother Carl Anderson, parents Verne and Evelyn Anderson, Brother in Law Henry Marson, sister in Law Mercy Marson, and nephew John R. Marson.
Due to Covid 19 Concerns, a memorial service will be held at a later date.
