ELLSWORTH – The 2021 Cheese Curd un-Festival will be a drive-thru, COVID-friendly event one more year, held 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, June 26.

Each year the festival releases a featured cheese curd flavor; this year’s specialty is the deep-fried dill pickle cheese curd. Pair that with ranch and pickle lovers will be in heaven. Guests can also look forward to classic curds and the famous cinnamon sugar curds.

“Your Cheese Curd Festival committee is busy planning an enhanced drive-thru event that will be COVID-friendly and safe for our volunteers, guests, and the community. We're determined to make this event the most fun anyone has ever had waiting in line!” an email from the committee stated.

The 2021 unFestival will include an expanded drive-thru route, allowing the ability to accommodate a greater number of vehicles more efficiently and safely. To keep entertained while waiting in line, guests can look forward to engaging games such as the Cheese Curd Festival version of Cash Cab and more. The festival will also broadcast a live AM radio program throughout the event. Guests will be able to learn about the festival, its sponsors and the community while waiting in their cars.

More details will be released prior to the event, which “River Travel Magazine” voted the No. 1 Food Festival in 2021.
