Pictured are Pat Hines of the Elmwood American Legion Post 207 and David Styer from Menomonie, the winner of the Legion’s raffle of a Henry Golden Boy Military Service Edition 22 Rifle. Styer purchased the winning ticket at Weston Bar & Grill in Weston. Styer was “extremely honored to win the rifle” and thankful of the American Legion for making it a possibility. The Henry Military Service Edition 22 Rifle is a collector rifle with an American flag laser-etched and hand painted along with the words GOD BLESS AMERICA on the buttstock’s right side, along with 24K gold plated emblems of the Statue of Liberty and the Liberty Bell on the receiver engraved with the words “In Recognition of Military Service to our Great Country.” The forestock is engraved with the words “Saluting our Military Heroes.” The drawing was held on July 31 at the Elmwood UFO Days celebration and the winning ticket was drawn by a youth visiting from Webster, Wis. The American Legion Post 207 greatly appreciates the community’s support of all our fundraising activities. Photos courtesy of Jerry Thompson
