RIVER FALLS– After studying and completing her final semester as an undergraduate college student in European countries including Ireland, Italy, Denmark and the Netherlands, Michelle Stangler, the host and creator of the Positivity in Ag Podcast, is sharing – for the first time – select podcast episodes at the “Taste of Europe: Cheese, Drinks and Talking European Agriculture,” event on Friday, May 3 starting at 5 p.m. at the St. Croix Innovation Center in River Falls.

The event includes a preview of episodes of her farm and agricultural visits in Europe before they air on most podcast and social media platforms this summer. The episodes will provide  insights into what’s happening throughout European agriculture.

“Traveling country to country interviewing people in agriculture showed me the community it takes to feed, fuel and provide a growing population with fiber,” Stangler says, adding, “More importantly, I saw how many opportunities there are for young adults in agriculture and how valuable studying abroad is for a soon-to-be college graduate like myself.”

The event welcomes the western Wisconsin community, families, and agricultural supporters and features local cheese and agricultural products – a way Stangler enjoys celebrating with people. Light food and drinks will be served on a first-come, first-served basis starting at 5 p.m. followed by a presentation at 5:15 led by Stangler.

This event also serves as a gesture of appreciation to supporters after recent accomplishments including placing first in the “Best Podcast” category at the Wisconsin Broadcasters Association Student Seminar and winning the UW-River Falls Innovation Challenge and earning third place at the state level in the WiSys Big Idea Tournament with the Positivity in Ag Podcast. Stangler was also chosen as the UW-River Falls College of Agriculture, Food and Environmental Sciences commencement student speaker for the noon ceremony on Saturday, May 4.

About the Positivity in Ag Podcast
