A social respite program serving seniors residing in Pierce and St. Croix counties who are facing memory changes or physical limitations. Thursday, March 7

Meditation for Men with Jay Peterson, 6:30 p.m., River Falls Public Library (140 Union St.) Men are invited to attend this group session with the goal of coming together and expanding perspectives on spirituality and digging deep into personal growth. Salami, cheese and crackers will be served. Limited spots. Sign up online.

RF Area Retired Educators Association, 11 a.m., St. Croix Lanes (1153 St. Croix St., River Falls). Learn what members have been doing since we last met, news from the state level, education issues and updates regarding the pension fund. If you are part of the Wisconsin Retirement System, join us. Free Community Clothing Exchange, 10:30 a.m. to noon, Zion Covenant Church (210 N. Beulah St., Ellsworth). Feel free to drop off gently used clothing 5-7 p.m. Thursday, March 7. No fee or donation required to “shop.”

PFD Pancake Breakfast, 8 a.m. to noon, Prescott Fire Hall (260 Flora St. S.) All you can eat pancakes, French toast, sausage, scrambled eggs, coffee and milk. Meet firefighters and view equipment. Call proceeds go to the volunteer fire department.

Sunday Brunch, 9 a.m. to noon, River Falls Moose Lodge (620 N. Clark St.) Hosting fundraiser for St. Croix Collectors. Buffet includes scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, hashbrowns, pancakes, French toast, biscuits and sausage gravy. Kids 5 and under eat free.

Monday, March 11

Cancer Survivor & Caregiver Celebration, 6-7:30 p.m., St. Bridget’s Church Hall (211 E. Division St., River Falls). Relay For Life River Falls-Pierce County invites cancer patients, survivors and caregivers for dinner, fellowship and to register for the April 12, 2024 Relay event.

Saturday, March 16

Spring Fling Small Business Vendor Market, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Ellsworth High School (323 W. Hillcrest St.) Hosted by the FFA with vendors, food stand and silent auction.

EHS Murder Mystery Dinner, 6 p.m., Ellsworth High School (323 W. Hillcrest St., Ellsworth). Rescheduled from January. All aboard the HMS Colonel Ellsworth for a luxury holiday on the high seas! It's the ship's maiden voyage but as guests excitedly wave bon voyage, all is not as it seems. Danger lurks below deck when a murder on board turns every guest into a suspect! Always a fun time, this annual interactive murder mystery dinner benefits the Ellsworth Community School District Foundation. Bribes support the Ellsworth High School Drama Department.

Live Harp Music by Laura Maki, 11:30 a.m., River Falls Public Library (140 Union St.) Sit up close or enjoy in the background as you browse, read or study.

Storytime with Ms. Sam, 11 a.m., Great River Road Visitor & Learning Center fireplace (200 Monroe St., Prescott). Come hear stories and sing songs by the fireplace. Hot cocoa and coffee will be served.

Third Annual Easter Egg Hunt, 1 p.m., Spring Valley Golf Course (S345 Hidden Fox Court, Spring Valley). Get your pictures with the Easter Bunny before the hunt starts at 1:30 p.m. The age group is from 0-10 and each child will get to hunt for three eggs. We will arrange the age groups into four groups for the hunt. Once each child has found their eggs, we will line them up again for a free-for-all. We have about 5,000 eggs! Some eggs will contain a special ticket to win a brand-new bike!

Ellsworth Fire Chicken Feed Fundraiser, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., Ellsworth Fire Hall (427 Spruce St.). Join us for delicious chicken, cold refreshments, raffles, silent auction and games. We can't wait to see everyone.

Sunday, March 24

Plum City Lions Palm Sunday Pancake Breakfast, 8:30 a.m. to noon, Plum City Legion Hall. Serving pancakes, French toast, sausage, scrambled eggs and local maple syrup. Proceeds go toward community needs.

Good Friday Family Fun Night, 5-7 p.m., River Falls Moose Lodge (620 N. Clark St.) Games for all ages, rabbit scavenger hunt, puzzle contest and egg toss! Fish and shrimp dinner with a kids’ meal option (5 and under eat free). Hosted by the RF Women of the Moose Chapter 1159.

River Room Art Gallery Exhibit, Great River Road Visitor & Learning Center (200 Monroe St., Prescott). Featuring local artists Judy O’Neill. Open during business hours.

Tuesday, April 2

Relay For Life River Falls-Pierce County Share Night, 4-7 p.m., Culver’s (1109 N. Main St., River Falls). Eat dinner at Culver’s and help raise money for Relay For Life.

Saturday, April 6

Prescott American Legion Chicken Fry, 4:30-8 p.m., Prescott American Legion (710 Pearl St.) All you care to eat or takeout available (4:30-7 p.m.) with no need to call ahead. Dinner includes chicken, homemade dressing, potatoes, green beans, baked beans and bun. We use cholesterol free oil. “If the Colonel had our recipe, he would be a General.”

Exotic Pets Surrender Event, noon to 3 p.m., Great River Road Visitor & Learning Center pavilion (200 Monroe St., Prescott). In an effort to combat invasive species, J&R Aquatic Animal Rescue will provide pet owners an opportunity to relinquish care of exotic animals responsibly. Accepted animals include fish, invertebrates, reptiles, pet birds, small mammals and plants. Domestic pets will not be accepted.

Friday, April 12

Relay For Life River Falls-Pierce County, 5-11 p.m., River Falls High School (818 Cemetery Road, River Falls). Everyone is invited! 4:30-5:45 p.m. survivor check-in (spaghetti meal is free for survivors!), 5 p.m. team setup begins, 5-8 p.m. spaghetti dinner (donation-based), 6 p.m. opening ceremony, 6-10 p.m. silent auction, 9 p.m. luminaria ceremony, and 10:45 p.m. closing ceremony.

Sunday, April 14

Earth Day Celebration & Spring Park Clean-Up, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Great River Road Visitor & Learning Center (200 Monroe St., Prescott). Presentations on how to make container pollinator gardens and birding, vendors, animals, and a park clean-up with great people!

46th Annual Car Show & Swap Meet, 8 a.m., Pierce County Fairgrounds (364 N. Maple St., Ellsworth). Beldenville Old Car Club hosts with 16 judged classes plus Show & Shine, Trophies awarded at 3 p.m., live music 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., food available for purchase.
