The Pierce County Board held its organizational meeting last Tuesday morning. Because of important items of business, the board went ahead with having supervisors meet in person.
The 17 members of the county board, the administrative coordinator, county clerk and corporation counsel attended the meeting at the county Emergency Operations Center located on the lower level of the Law Enforcement Building.
Members of the public and department heads who needed to “attend” the meeting, watched a video feed at the Courthouse Annex Conference Room at the former Emergency Operation Center.
“When the Emergency Operations Center was moved, much of the video equipment was left behind, so they were able to link the two locations,” said Clerk Jamie Feuerhelm.
Surgical masks were made available for county board members, and those in attendance were urged to wear masks.
Re-elected by the board at the meeting were Jeff Holst of Diamond Bluff as board chairman, Jon Aubart of River Falls as first chair and Jerry Kosin of Oak Grove as second chair.
