The existing pavement on County S is exhibiting signs of distress in the form of pavement deterioration including longitudinal and transverse cracking. This results in poor ride quality and expenditures to maintain. Cracking can contribute to continued pavement deterioration by allowing water to seep beneath the roadway surface. The purpose of this project is to address the existing roadway deficiencies, enhance safety and ensure the preservation of the roadway.
Proposed improvements include:
During construction, County S will be closed to through traffic and is expected to be detoured via County CC and US 10. Access will be maintained to homes and businesses in the work zone.
No real estate acquisition is anticipated with the project.
Construction is currently scheduled for 2028.
Motorists are reminded that using handheld cell phones in Wisconsin work zones is illegal. Alerts and updates provided via these sites are not intended for use while driving. When driving, your focus should always be on driving.
