Initial appearances Scott Allen Altenberg, 58, Ellsworth, failed to make an initial appearance March 21 on felony bail jumping, felony battery or threat to law enforcement officer, prosecutor or judge, resisting or obstructing an officer and two misdemeanor bail jumping charges. The appearance is rescheduled for 9 a.m. May 9.

Erik Jacob Christensen,

26, Prescott, failed to make a March 21 initial appearance on battery, disorderly conduct and five misdemeanor bail jumping charges. A bench warrant was issued.

Dayna Ann Cossetta, 32, River Falls, posted a $10,000 signature bond on a felony neglecting a child (no harm and child under 6 or disability) charge March 21. A preliminary hearing is set for 1 p.m. May 10.

Emily K. Haines, 23, Prescott, posted a $100,000 signature bond on four felony possession of child pornography (lifetime supervision of serious sex offenders) charges March 21. A preliminary hearing is slated for 2 p.m. May 9.

Jordan James Kloos, 34, River Falls, posted a $10,000 signature bond March 17 on felony possession of methamphetamine and possess drug paraphernalia charges. A preliminary hearing is set for 2:30 p.m. April 21.

Kendrick N.Z. Mays, 34, Red Wing, Minn., failed to make an initial appearance March 21 on OWI-second and operating with PAC-second charges. A bench warrant was issued.

Daniel Leroy Olson, 42, River Falls, pleaded not guilty and posted a $2,500 signature bond on a disorderly conduct (domestic abuse) charge March 21. A pre-trial conference is slated for 9:15 a.m. April 22.

John Robinson, 39, Anoka, Minn., posted a $10,000 signature bond March 18 on felony vehicle operator flee/elude officer (repeater), felony driver or operate vehicle without consent (repeater), felony receiving stolen property (repeater), and resisting or obstructing an officer (repeater). A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. April 25.

Joshua R. Rolf-Walz, 28, Minneapolis, failed to make an initial appearance March 21 on disorderly conduct (repeater) and battery (repeater) charges. A bench warrant was issued.

Kandis Marie Weiand, 35, Prescott, failed to make an initial appearance on an operate without valid license (third within three years) charge March 21. A bench warrant was issued.

Closed cases Jacob David Hoffman, 20, Hudson, was convicted of operate without carrying a license and fined $277.80 March 17. The charge stemmed from a Nov. 13, 2021 traffic stop.

Joshua Steven Holt, 33, Hastings, Minn., was convicted of theft – movable property March 21, sentenced to one year’s probation and fined $443. Another theft – movable property charge was read-in but dismissed. The charges resulted from incidents July 18, 2020 and Sept. 13, 2020.

Sirena M. Lenz, 42, Newport, Minn., was convicted of issue of worthless checks March 21, sentenced to one year’s probation, fined $443 and ordered to pay $1,984.95 in restitution to Ptacek’s IGA in Prescott. The charge stemmed from an April 3, 2019 incident.

A resisting or obstructing an officer charge against Peggy N. Lorenzen, 42, Menomonie, was dismissed March 21 upon completion of a deferred judgment of conviction agreement. The charge resulted from a Jan. 6, 2020 incident.

A felony intimidate victim/ property damage (domestic abuse) charge against Mitchell Avery Pangell, 31, Oakdale, Minn., was dismissed March 21 upon completion of deferred judgment of conviction agreement. Pangel paid $739 in restitution on March 11. The charge stemmed from an Oct. 4, 2020 incident.

Shannon Ray Stevens, 45, Webster, waived extradition March 18.
