Initial appearances Scott Steven Christ, 44, Red Wing, Minn., posted a $10,000 signature bond Feb. 28 on a felony second degree sexual assault of a child charge. A preliminary hearing is set for 1:30 p.m. April 15.

Nowa Matthew Hartman- Booth, 21, Ellsworth, pleaded not guilty and posted a $10,000 signature bond Feb. 24 on battery and disorderly conduct charges. A pre-trial conference is scheduled for 1 p.m. March 28.

Maximilian Quinn Maher, 29, River Falls, pleaded not guilty and posted a $2,500 signature bond Feb. 28 on battery (as party to a crime) and disorderly conduct (as party to a crime) charges. A pre-trial conference is set for 10 a.m. April 28.

Monroe Richard Maher,

24, River Falls, pleaded not guilty and posted a $2,500 signature bond Feb. 28 on battery (as party to a crime) and disorderly conduct (as party to a crime) charges. A pre-trial conference is set for 10:15 a.m. April 28.

Saprina Mays, 29, St. Paul, was ordered to pay $500 cash bail on felony second-degree recklessly endangering safety, four felony attempt battery or threat to judge/prosecutor or law enforcement officer, felony vehicle operator flee/elude officer, two resisting or obstructing an officer and disorderly conduct charges Feb. 25. A preliminary hearing is slated for 10 a.m. March 17.

Justin T. Mead, 27, Cottage Grove, Minn., posted a $10,000 signature bond Feb. 28 on felony substantial battery – intend bodily harm, two resisting or obstructing an officer and disorderly conduct charges. A preliminary hearing is set for 1:30 p.m. March 29.

Zachary James Miller,

36, New Richmond, pleaded not guilty and posted a $5,000 signature bond Feb. 28 on three misdemeanor bail jumping, operating while revoked (alcohol related) and ignition interlock device tampering/failure to install/violate court order charges. A pre-trial conference is scheduled for 2 p.m. March 28.

Melissa Esther Teegarden, 34, Menomonie, posted a $25,000 signature bond Feb. 28 on felony burglary – building/ dwelling (as party to a crime) and receiving or concealing stolen property (as party to a crime) charges. A pre-trial conference is set for 4 p.m. March 15.

Jacque Howard Vezina,

42, River Falls, pleaded not guilty and posted a $10,000 signature bond on battery, criminal trespass to dwelling and disorderly conduct (domestic abuse) charges Feb. 28. A pre-trial conference is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. March 28.

Missed appearances Naihla Laquann Buckley, 36, River Falls, failed to appear for a preliminary hearing Feb. 28 on felony vehicle operator flee/elude officer, misdemeanor bail jumping, theft – movable property, resisting or obstructing an officer and two operate without valid license (second within three years) charges. A status conference is set for 2 p.m. April 18, followed by a preliminary hearing at 2:30 p.m.

A bench warrant was issued for David Ray Collier, 32, Kellogg, Minn., who failed to make an initial appearance on a criminal trespass to dwelling (repeater) charge.

Ishmael C. Ewing, 32, Dodge Correctional Facility, Waupun, failed to appear for a status conference Feb. 24 on a felony substantial battery – intend bodily harm charge. A status conference is scheduled for 10:15 a.m. April 12.

A bench warrant was issued for Breanna M. Seekamp, 25, Menomonie, who failed to make an initial appearance on battery (domestic abuse) and disorderly conduct (domestic abuse) charges.

A bench warrant was issued Feb. 28 for Tyler Nicholas Ingel-Lasch, 25, Excelsior, Minn., who failed to make an initial appearance for theft – movable property and felony bail jumping charges.

Closed cases Tara Katheryn Dougherty, 41, Red Wing, Minn., was convicted of operate without carrying a license and fined $150.10 Feb. 28. The charge evolved from a Dec. 3 traffic stop.

Criminal damage to property and disorderly conduct (domestic abuse) charges against David Eugene Erie, 51, Red Wing, Minn., were dismissed Feb. 24 upon completion of a deferred judgment of conviction agreement. The charges stemmed from a Sept. 26, 2020 incident.

Eric Dennis Frank, 36, Prescott, pleaded guilty to and entered into a deferred judgment of conviction agreement on a felony possession of methamphetamine (possession of a controlled substance on or near certain places) March 1, 2021. That agreement was revoked and Frank was sentenced to one year’s probation Feb. 28 and ordered to pay $493 in court costs. The charge resulted from a Sept. 29, 2019 incident.

Doreen Kay Smith, 67, Hudson, was convicted of felony OWI-fourth on March 1, sentenced to 130 days in jail (101 days stayed pending successful completion of probation) and two years of probation, fined $2,197, ordered to undergo an alcohol assessment and ordered to install an ignition interlock device after at three-year driver’s license revocation. The charge stemmed from a March 14, 2021 traffic stop.

Michelle Ann Thomas,

42, Red Wing, Minn., pleaded no contest to and entered into a deferred judgment of conviction agreement Dec. 15, 2015 on two felony manufacture/ deliver Schedule I/II narcotics. The agreement was revoked and on Feb. 28, she was sentenced to two years of probation and ordered to pay $1,036 in court costs. The charges resulted from a Sept. 4, 2014 incident.
