Initial appearances Ryan Anthony Cusin, 27, Hudson, pleaded not guilty and posted a $2,500 signature bond Feb. 7 on OWI-second and operating with PAC-second charges. A pre-trial conference is slated for 9:45 a.m. March 15.

Jessica L. Delcourt, 30, Onamia, Minn., failed to make an initial appearance on a possess drug paraphernalia charge Feb. 7. It was rescheduled for 9:30 a.m. Feb. 28.

Randy J. Gustin, 37, Ellsworth, pleaded not guilty and posted a $2,500 signature bond on a disorderly conduct (domestic abuse) charge Feb. 7. A pre-trial conference is scheduled for 2 p.m. Feb. 28.

Garret Jeffrey Hines, 36, Ellsworth, pleaded not guilty and posted a $1,000 signature bond Feb. 7 on an operating while revoked charge. A pretrial conference is slated for 9 a.m. March 17.

Benjamin J. Hohmann,

36, Bay City, pleaded not guilty and posted a $1,000 signature bond on an operating while revoked (alcohol related) charge Feb. 7. A pre-trial conference is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. March 17.

Cory M. Jessen, 31, Red Wing, Minn., pleaded not guilty and posted a $2,500 signature bond Feb. 8 on resisting or obstructing an officer and possession of THC. A pre-trial conference is set for 10:30 a.m. March 15.

Justin Paul Karras, 41, River Falls, posted a $5,000 signature bond Feb. 4 on felony OWI-fourth, operating while revoked and misdemeanor bail jumping charges. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. March 1.

Brady Charles Lorentz,

17, Ellsworth, pleaded not guilty and posted a $5,000 signature bond on two misdemeanor bail jumping charges Feb. 7. A pre-trial conference is set for 11 a.m. Feb. 10.

Sohpia Mae McBain, 34, Prairie Farm, pleaded not guilty and posted a $1,000 signature bond Feb. 9 on an operating while revoked (alcohol related) charge. A pre-trial conference is slated for 9 a.m. March 15.

Allen Gene McCuen, 35, Elmwood, posted a $25,000 signature bond on felony burglary of building/dwelling (as party to a crime) and receiving stolen property (as party to a crime) charges Feb. 8. A status conference is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. March 3.

Joseph Patrick Montgomery, 43, Ellsworth, pleaded not guilty and posted a $1,000 signature bond Feb. 7 on an operate without a valid license (third within three years) charge. A pre-trial conference is slated for 11:45 a.m. March 21.

Troy Alan Stumpf, 45, Hager City, pleaded not guilty and posted a $250 signature bond on an operate without valid license (second within three years) charge Feb. 7. A pre-trial conference is set for 11 a.m. March 17.

Andrew Paul Terrell, 43, Prescott, posted a $5,000 signature bond on felony bail jumping and disorderly conduct (domestic abuse) charges Feb. 7. A preliminary hearing is slated for 1 p.m. Feb. 24.

Emilio Torres-Mendez,

32, Ellsworth, pleaded not guilty and posted a $1,000 signature bond Feb. 7 on operating while revoked (alcohol related) charge. A pre-trial conference is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. March 17.

Kenneth M. Waldvogel,

70, Plum City, pleaded not guilty and posted a $1,000 signature bond on a disorderly conduct charge Feb. 7. A pretrial conference is slated for 11:45 a.m. March 15.

Closed cases

A neglecting a child (harm did not occur and child under 6 years or disability – as party to a crime) charge against Lucas William Danielson, 32, Stanley Correction Facility, was dismissed Feb. 8 upon completion of a deferred judgment of conviction agreement. The charge resulted from a May 17, 2019 incident.

Valerie Renee Devine, 52, Chippewa Falls, was convicted of operate without valid license (second within three years) and OWI-second, sentenced to 15 days in jail and one year’s probation, fined $1,998, ordered to undergo an alcohol evaluation and ordered to install an ignition interlock device after a 12-month driver’s license revocation Feb. 7. Misdemeanor bail jumping, possess illegally obtained prescription and two felony bail jumping charges were dismissed. The charges stemmed from incidents May 23, 2019 and May 24, 2020.

A resisting or obstructing an officer charge against Bradley John Gerster, 37, Hudson, was dismissed before an initial appearance Feb. 8. The charge resulted from a Jan. 7 incident.

Cupertino Sanchez Hernandez, 42, Ashland, was convicted of operate without carrying a license and fined $277.80 Feb. 7. The charge stemmed from a Feb. 11, 2021 traffic stop.

Devorise L. Jackson, 25, Winona, Minn., waived extradition to Winona County, Minn. Feb. 7.

Americo Marcus Lopez,

45, River Falls, was convicted of resisting or obstructing an officer, sentenced to one year’s probation and fined $443 Feb. 4. Felony throw/discharge bodily fluid at public safety worker or prosecutor, felony battery or threat to judge, prosecutor or law enforcement officer and disorderly conduct charges were dismissed. The charges resulted from an Aug. 1 incident.

Kirk W. Lundeen, 51, St. Paul, was convicted of battery and disorderly conduct Oct. 8. A felony strangulation and suffocation charge had been readin but dismissed. At a Feb. 7 sentencing hearing, he was sentenced to two years’ probation and fined $886. The charges stemmed from a Jan. 2, 2020 incident.

Jennifer Lyne Marx, 43, Barron, was convicted of operate without carrying a license and fined $277.80 Feb. 8. The charge resulted from an Aug. 18, 2019 incident.

Allen Gene McCuen, 35, Elmwood, was convicted of felony possession of methamphetamine, felony bail jumping and operate without carrying a license, sentenced to three years’ probation and fined $1313.18 Feb. 8. Seven felony bail jumping, two misdemeanor bail jumping, possession of THC, and two operate without valid license (second within three years) charges were dismissed. The charges stemmed from incidents Feb. 21, March 20 and July 1 in 2020 and Oct. 2, 2021.

Resisting or obstructing an officer, two criminal trespass to dwelling and two criminal damage to property charges against Mary Elizabeth Melstrom, 45, River Falls, were dismissed Feb. 7. A restitution hearing in another case is scheduled for 2 p.m. April 4. These charges resulted from incidents June 10 and Nov. 10 in 2018.

A felony neglecting a child (specified harm did not occur and child under 6 or disability) charge against Brittney Lynn O’Brien, 33, River Falls, was dismissed Feb. 8 upon completion of a deferred judgment of conviction agreement. The charge stemmed from a Feb. 26, 2020 incident.

Daniel Glen Reamer, 40, Maiden Rock, was convicted of felony possession of methamphetamine and criminal damage to property Feb. 7, sentenced to three years’ probation, ordered to pay $4,608.13 in restitution and fined $1,421.81. Two felony bail jumping (repeater), felony drive or operate vehicle without consent and possess drug paraphernalia (repeater) charges were dismissed. The charges resulted from incidents Aug. 1 and Nov. 23.

Tyrone Deshawn Williams, 32, St. Paul, was convicted of violate foreign protection order, sentenced to one year’s probation and fined $443 Feb. 7. An intimidate witness charge was dismissed. The charges stemmed from an April 2, 2021 incident.
