Initial appearances Joseph Matthew Ciotti,
25, Northwood, Iowa, posted a $5,000 signature bond Jan. 31 on disorderly conduct and misdemeanor bail jumping charges. A status conference is set for 4 p.m. March 8.
Lauro Bergelio Sauca-Sarango, 35, Spring Valley, posted a $10,000 signature bond Jan. 31 on felony OWIfourth and felony operating with PAC (fourth) charges. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 11 a.m. March 29.
Alexandrea Nicole Torres, 40, River Falls, posted a $10,000 signature bond on felony battery or threat to judge, prosecutor or law enforcement officer, battery, resisting or obstructing an officer and disorderly conduct charges Jan. 28. A preliminary hearing is set for 2:30 p.m. March 14.
Daniel Norman Trudeau,
54, Lake Elmo, Minn., posted a $2,500 signature bond Jan. 31 on a felony OWI-fourth charge. He also pleaded not guilty to an operating without a valid license charge. A preliminary hearing is slated for 1 p.m. March 1.
Closed cases
A disorderly conduct (domestic abuse) charge against
Patrick Lee Adelhelm, 25, Roseville, Minn., was dismissed Jan. 27 upon completion of a deferred judgment of conviction agreement. The charge resulted from a July 6, 2020 incident.
A disorderly conduct charge against Jesse J. Bankston, 48, Hudson, was dismissed Jan. 31 upon completion of a deferred judgment of conviction agreement. The charge stemmed from an April 4, 2020 incident.
Mitchell Kelly Bruckmoser, 30, River Falls, was convicted of felony battery or threat to prosecutor, judge or law enforcement officer, sentenced to three years’ probation (a three-year prison sentenced was stayed), ordered to pay $615.80 in restitution (plus a 10% surcharge) and fined $518 Feb. 2. Resisting or obstructing an officer, disorderly conduct and resist officer – substantial bodily harm/soft tissue injury charges were dismissed. The charges resulted from a Dec. 22, 2020 incident.
Joseph Ray Cobb, 48, River Falls, was convicted of disorderly conduct, sentenced to one year’s probation and fined $443 Feb. 2. A possess amphetamine/LSD/psilocin charge was dismissed. The charges stemmed from a Nov. 29, 2021 incident.
Michelle A. Driscoll, 38, River Falls, was convicted of felony possession of methamphetamine (as party to a crime) and neglecting a child (specified harm did not occur), sentenced to three years’ probation and fined $961 Jan. 26. A possess drug paraphernalia (as party to a crime) charge was dismissed. The charges resulted from a Feb. 9, 2021 incident.
A felony possession of methamphetamine charge against Jennifer M. Gustafson-Branville, 36, South St. Paul, Minn., was dismissed Feb. 2 upon completion of a deferred judgment of conviction agreement. The charge stemmed from June 20, 2020 incident.
Lukas J. Nelson, 33, River Falls, was found guilty, but not guilty due to mental disease/defect, of disorderly conduct (use of a dangerous weapon), possession of THC and possess drug paraphernalia Jan. 27. The court ordered Nelson committed to Department of Health Services for 10 months and 20 days; he’s also not allowed to possess firearms. Felony second-degree recklessly endangering safety (use of a dangerous weapon) and operate firearm while intoxicated charges were dismissed. The charges resulted from a Sept. 2, 2021 incident in the town of Trimbelle.
James Norman Olson,
43, Northfield, Minn., was convicted of felony battery or threat to judge, law enforcement officer or prosecutor, sentenced to three years’ probation, ordered to pay $33 in restitution and fined $518 Jan. 27. Felony possession of methamphetamine and resisting or obstructing an officer charges were dismissed. The charges stemmed from a May 8, 2021 incident.
A felony neglecting a child (harm did not occur and child under 6 years or disability) charge against Toni Marie Salava, 32, Hager City, was dismissed Jan. 27 upon completion of a deferred judgment of conviction agreement. The charge resulted from a June 12, 2019 incident.
Resisting or obstructing an officer, OWI-third, operating with PAC-third and operating while revoked (alcohol related) charges against Lauro Bergelio Sauca-Sarango, 35, Spring Valley, were dismissed Jan. 31. The charges stemmed from an April 25, 2021 traffic stop.
Felony take and drive vehicle without consent, felony vehicle operator flee/elude officer and operating while revoked (alcohol related) charges against Ryan Joseph-Jarrod Stetler, 30, St. Paul, were dismissed Jan. 27. The charges resulted from a Dec. 5, 2020 incident.
Kayla Lois Stewart, 32, River Falls, was convicted of resisting or obstructing an officer and fined $267 Jan. 27. A disorderly conduct charge was dismissed. The charges stemmed from a Sept. 4, 2021 incident.
Theft – movable property and felony possession of methamphetamine charges against Elizabeth J. Wallin, 32, Spring Valley were dismissed upon completion of a deferred judgment of conviction agreement Feb. 1. The charges resulted from an April 3, 2018 incident.
