Initial appearances Elijah James Durnbaugh,

41, River Falls, pleaded not guilty and posted a $5,00 signature bond on criminal trespass to dwelling and two misdemeanor bail jumping charges Jan. 24. A pre-trial conference is slated for 11:30 a.m. March 1.

Joel Thomas Hunt, 23, River Falls, pleaded not guilty and posted a $5,000 signature bond Jan. 24 on battery (domestic abuse) and disorderly conduct (domestic abuse) charges. A pre-trial conference is set for 1:30 p.m. March 21.

David Kenneth Johnson,

29, River Falls, pleaded not guilty and posted a $1,000 signature bond on battery (domestic abuse) and disorderly conduct (domestic abuse) charges Jan. 24. A pre-trial conference is slated for 1:15 p.m. Feb. 16.

Levi M. Stelzer, 31, Spring Valley, pleaded not guilty and was ordered to pay $150 cash bail on a disorderly conduct (domestic abuse) charges Jan. 24. A pre-trial conference is scheduled for 11 a.m. March 15.

Cory Levan Tyson, 24, River Falls, pleaded not guilty and posted a $2,500 signature bond on misdemeanor bail jumping and disorderly conduct charges Jan. 24. A pretrial conference was set for 10:30 a.m. Jan. 27.

Failed appearances Tristan Anthony Harmon, 37, Oakdale, Minn., failed to appear for a status conference Jan. 21. He is charged with felony substantial battery – intend bodily harm, felony bail jumping (three counts), felony false imprisonment, criminal trespass to dwelling (three counts), felony burglary – building/dwelling felony stalking, misdemeanor bail jumping, resisting or obstructing an officer (two counts), carrying a concealed knife and disorderly conduct (four counts). A bench warrant was issued.

A bench warrant was issued Jan. 24 for Shannon Ray Stevens, 45, Webster, who failed to appear for a plea/sentencing hearing on a resisting or obstructing an officer (repeater) charge. A bench warrant was issued Jan. 21 for Linda Joan Sitting Dog, 33, Prescott, who failed to appear for a plea/sentencing hearing on two operate without valid license (second within three years) charges.

A bench warrant was issued for Joseph Frederick Schmidt, 24, Duluth, Minn., who failed to appear for a Jan. 25 status conference. Schmidt is charged with felony bail jumping (six counts), operating while revoked (two counts), felony vehicle operator flee/elude officer, operate without valid license (second within three years), criminal damage to property and domestic disorderly conduct.

A bench warrant was issued Jan. 26 for David Alvin Thomas Jr., 34, St. Paul, who failed to appear at a Jan. 25 status conference. Thomas Jr. is charged with possession of THC, operate without valid license (third within three years), criminal trespass to dwelling (two counts), misdemeanor bail jumping (two counts) and two contempt of court – disobey order charges.

Deferred prosecution Megan Ann Brophy, 27, River Falls, was convicted of possession of THC, sentenced to one year’s probation and fined $443 Jan. 21. She pleaded guilty to and entered into a three-year deferred judgment of conviction agreement on a felony maintain drug trafficking place (conspiracy to commit) charge. Information was filed on a possession with intent – THC (to deliver/distribute controlled substance on or near a school – conspiracy to commit) charge. The charges resulted from incidents Oct. 1, 2019 and May 15, 2020.

Scott Lee Hetrick, 57, Ellsworth, was convicted of possess drug paraphernalia, sentenced to one year’s probation and fined $443 Jan. 24. He pleaded guilty to and entered into a three-year deferred judgment of conviction agreement on a felony possession of methamphetamine charge. The charges stemmed from an Aug. 4 incident.

Closed cases Tyler Lee Bowers, 29, Hastings, Minn., was convicted of felony substantial battery – intend bodily harm Jan. 25, sentenced to three years’ probation, ordered to pay $1,445.88 in restitution (plus a 10% surcharge) and fined $518. A second felony substantial battery – intend bodily harm charge was readin but dismissed. Misdemeanor bail jumping, possess amphetamine/ LSD/psilocin and two disorderly conduct charges were dismissed. The charges resulted from incidents May 16 and June 5.

Monte Wade Gilbertson,

54, Ellsworth, was convicted of reckless driving – endanger safety and fined $389.50 Jan. 24. An operating with PACthird charge was dismissed. The charges stemmed from a July 16 traffic stop.

Michael L. Griggs, 42, Maiden Rock, was convicted of possess drug paraphernalia and fined $443 Jan. 21. The charge resulted from an Aug. 26, 2020 incident.

A disorderly conduct charge against Kareena J. Hakes, 26, Menomonie, was dismissed Jan. 25 upon completion of a deferred judgment of conviction agreement. The charge stemmed from a June 22, 2019 incident.

Emery Preston Lafferty,

30, Red Wing, Minn., was convicted of theft – movable property, sentenced to one year’s probation and fined $443 Jan. 20. The charge resulted from a June 10, 2020 incident.

Tanner Mitchell Marko,

27, Prescott, was convicted of misdemeanor bail jumping (two counts) and possession of THC (second+ offense) Jan. 24, sentenced to three years’ probation and fined $1,404. Two misdemeanor bail jumping and three operating while revoked (alcohol related) charges were dismissed. The charges stemmed from incidents May 29, July 22 and Aug. 10.

Daniel Robert McCrae,

57, River Falls, was convicted of felony possession of methamphetamine Jan. 24, sentenced to three years’ probation and fined $518. A possess drug paraphernalia charge was dismissed. The charges resulted from a Nov. 4 incident.

Joseph Michael Prantner,

27, Red Wing, Minn., was convicted of disorderly conduct (domestic abuse), sentenced to two years’ probation and fined $543 Jan. 20. A knowingly violate domestic abuse order – temporary restraining order charge was read-in but dismissed. Criminal trespass to dwelling and misdemeanor bail jumping charges were also dismissed. The charges stemmed from incidents May 22 and Oct. 20.

Daniel Glen Reamer, 40, Maiden Rock, waived extradition Jan. 20 to Goodhue County, Minn.

Moses Lee Sheffel, 26, formerly of New Richmond, Dodge Correctional Facility, Waupun, was convicted of felony burglary – building/dwelling, sentenced to two years in prison and five years of extended supervision, ordered to pay $370.69 in restitution (plus a 10% surcharge) and fined $518 Jan. 24. A theft – movable property charge was read-in but dismissed. Retail theft – intentionally take and theft – movable property charges were dismissed. The charges resulted from incidents Aug. 13, 2020 and Nov. 26, 2020.

Shawn M. Wallace, 52, Mondovi, was convicted of operate without carrying a license and fined $277.80 Jan. 24. The charge stemmed from a Jan. 29, 2021 traffic stop.
