Initial appearances

A $500 signature bond was reinstated for Zachary Allen Frey, 30, Cadott, after he was returned on a warrant for an operating while revoked (alcohol related) charge Sept. 23. A pre-trial conference is set for 10:30 a.m. Oct. 20.

A $500 signature bond was reinstated for Michael L. Griggs, 42, Maiden Rock, on a possess drug paraphernalia charge Sept. 24. Aplea hearing is scheduled for 3 p.m. Oct. 8.

Aiden Alexander Jones,

17, Hastings, Minn., posted a $10,000 signature bond on resisting or obstructing an officer and disorderly conduct charges Sept. 27. A pre-trial conference is set for 10:30 a.m. Nov. 2.

Ethan Michael McMullen,

17, Red Wing, Minn., posted a $100,000 signature bond on a felony first degree child sexual assault – intercourse with person under 12 charge Sept. 27. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. Oct. 28.

A $1,000 signature bond was reinstated for Kyran M. Murphy, 38, Stillwater, Minn., on disorderly conduct and disorderly conduct (domestic abuse) charges Sept. 23. A status conference is set for 3 p.m. Oct. 26.

A $10,000 signature bond was reinstated for Tricia Lee Pawlowski, 36. Chaska, Minn., on felony possession of methamphetamine and possess drug paraphernalia charges Sept. 22. A status conference is slated for 2 p.m. Oct. 25.

A $5,000 signature bond was reinstated for John Edward Stein, 59, River Falls, on felony possession of methamphetamine, possession of THC and possess drug paraphernalia charges Sept. 27. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 11 a.m. Oct. 26.

Kayla Lois Stewart, 32, River Falls, posted a $2,500 signature bond on resisting or obstructing an officer and disorderly conduct charges Sept. 27. A pre-trial conference is slated for 1 p.m. Nov. 9.

Montrel Juan Willis, 35, Minneapolis, posted a $500 signature bond on two operate without valid license (third within three years) charges Sept. 27. A pre-trial conference is scheduled for 1 p.m. Nov. 15.

A $2,500 signature bond was reinstated for Daniel Chase Zelm, 39, Menomonie on an operating while revoked (alcohol related) charge Sept. 28. A status conference is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Oct. 29.

Closed cases Tyson J. Elman, 22, River Falls, was sentenced to six months in jail (with 96 days credit) at a probation revocation hearing Sept. 22. Elman did not fulfill a deferred judgment of conviction agreement on a felony possession of methamphetamine charge. The court will stay the remaining jail sentence if in-patient treatment is completed successfully. The charge stemmed from an Oct. 22, 2019 incident.

Kevin Matthew Prendergast, 37, River Falls, waived extradition to Minnesota Sept. 27.

Joshua J. Reeverts, 25, Beldenville, was convicted of disorderly conduct and fined $443 Sept. 22. The charge resulted from an incident March 16.

Deferred prosecution Eric Wayne Williams, 39, Newport, Minn., pleaded guilty to and entered into a deferred judgment of conviction agreement on an operating while revoked (alcohol related) charge Sept. 22. An ignition interlock device tampering/failure to install/violate court order charge was dismissed. The charges resulted from an incident Sept. 6, 2020.

Two battery charges against

Lucas Michael Schmidt, 28, Minneapolis, were dismissed Sept. 22 upon completion of a deferred judgment of conviction agreement. The charges stemmed from an incident Feb. 15, 2020.
