Initial appearances Amelia Senait Bury, 20, Plymouth, Minn., pleaded not guilty and posted a $1,000 signature bond on possess amphetamine/ LSD/ psilocin and possess drug paraphernalia charges Sept. 20. A pretrial conference is slated for 10 a.m. Oct. 20.

Isaac Paul Kauffmann,

31, Ellsworth, pleaded not guilty and posted a $1,000 signature bond on a disorderly conduct charge Sept. 20. A pre-trial conference is scheduled for 10 a.m. Oct. 26.

Brianna Jade Lindquist,

22, River Falls, posted a $10,000 signature bond on three felony bail jumping charges Sept. 20. A preliminary hearing is slated for 10:30 Oct. 14.

Luis Rodolfo Barillas Morales, 21, Red Wing, Minn., posted a $5,000 signature bond Sept. 17 on a felony vehicle operator flee/elude officer charge. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 1 p.m. Oct. 21.

Daniel Joseph Perry, 35, St. Paul, posted a $2,500 signature bond on felony bail jumping, battery and disorderly conduct charges Sept. 20. A preliminary hearing is set for 2:30 p.m. Oct. 4.

Joshua Tyler Smith-Larson, 25, Cottage Grove, Minn., pleaded not guilty and posted a $5,000 signature bond on criminal damage to property and two disorderly conduct charges Sept. 20. He also posted a $1,000 signature bond on another disorderly conduct charge that same day. A pre-trial conference is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. Oct. 18.

Closed cases

Eleven misdemeanor bail jumping, four felony bail jumping, battery (domestic abuse) and disorderly conduct (domestic abuse) charges against David Allen Bakken, 40, South St. Paul, Minn., were dismissed Sept. 15. A felony receiving stolen property charge was read-in but dismissed. The charges stemmed from incidents July 7, 2020; Oct. 29, 2020; Feb. 4, April 23 and May 24 in Ellsworth.

Two felony burglary – building or dwelling (as party to a crime) charges against

Chance Alexander Christenson, 24, Owatonna, Minn., were dismissed before his initial appearance. The charges stemmed from an incident March 24.

Margaret Renea Coronado- Hoyer, 54, Prescott, was convicted of operate without carrying a license and fined $277.80 Sept. 20. The charge resulted from a traffic stop July 18, 2020.

A felony second degree sexual assault of child charge against Dominic James Fobbe, 21, Beldenville, was dismissed Sept. 16 upon completion of a deferred prosecution agreement. The charge stemmed from an incident Sept. 1, 2019.

Andrew John Larson,

39, River Falls, was convicted of two disorderly conduct charges and fined $886 Sept. 15. Criminal damage to property, possession of THC and possess drug paraphernalia charges were dismissed. The charges resulted from a Dec. 24, 2020 incident.

Leon Antione McKinney,

42, Dodge Correctional Institution, Waupun, was sentenced to time served (nine months with 251 days credit) and fined $267 at a probation revocation hearing Sept. 15 on a disorderly conduct (repeater) charge. The charge stemmed from an April 10, 2018 incident.

Joseph Patrick Montgomery, 43, Ellsworth, was convicted of operate without valid license (third within three years) and fined $443 Sept. 20. The charge resulted from a Sept. 15, 2020 traffic stop.

Connor David Serres, 23, Cannon Falls, Minn., was convicted of disorderly conduct and criminal damage to property, fined $710 and sentenced to one year of probation Sept. 20. A disorderly conduct charge was dismissed. A restitution hearing is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. Oct. 28. The charges stemmed from incidents April 7 and May 1.

Evan Edward Sullivan,

22, Bay City, was convicted of operate without carrying a license and fined $150.10 Sept. 21. The charge resulted from a traffic stop May 17.

Mitchel Jack Swinburne,

31 River Falls, was convicted of operate without carrying a license and fined $150.10 Sept. 21. The charge stemmed from a traffic stop Aug. 19.

Plea hearing David Allen Bakken, 40, South St. Paul, Minn., pled guilty to battery (domestic abuse, repeater), felony intimidate victim/domestic abuse crime (use of dangerous weapon, domestic abuse, domestic abuse repeater – during 72-hour no-contact period), resisting/obstructing an officer, criminal damage to property (domestic abuse, repeater – during 72-hour nocontact period), retail theft – intentionally take, felony damage or threat to property of witness, felony bail jumping, misdemeanor bail jumping, criminal damage to property (domestic abuse), battery (domestic abuse) and disorderly conduct (domestic abuse) charges Sept. 15. As part of the plea, the following charges were dismissed: felony burglary – arm self with dangerous weapon (use of dangerous weapon), disorderly conduct (use of dangerous weapon, domestic abuse, repeater – during 72-hour nocontact period), contact after domestic abuse arrest (use of dangerous weapon, domestic abuse, repeater – during 72hour no-contact period), disorderly conduct (domestic abuse), criminal damage to property, two battery (domestic abuse), eight felony bail jumping, 15 misdemeanor bail jumping and eight misdemeanor bail jumping (domestic abuse) charges. A sentencing hearing is set for 3 p.m. Dec. 14.
