Initial appearances Alexander Leelavere Foster, 28, Red Wing, Minn., posted a $5,000 signature bond on felony receiving stolen property (as party to a crime) Aug. 23. He also posted a $25,000 signature bond on felony burglary – building/dwelling and three felony criminal damage to property (as party to a crime) charges. A preliminary hearing is set for 1:30 p.m. Sept. 7 for the first charge and at 4 p.m. Sept. 8 for the others.

Christopher Patrick Paar,

34, Baldwin, posted a $5,000 signature bond on a felony possession of methamphetamine charge Aug. 23. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 11 a.m. Sept. 21.

Christine C. Karlstad, 40, Ellsworth, posted a $50,000 signature bond on a felony manufacture/deliver amphetamine charge Aug. 23. A preliminary hearing is set for 11:30 a.m. Sept. 17.

Christopher Michael Hawley, 26, New Richmond, posted a $5,000 signature bond on a felony possession of methamphetamine (as party to a crime) charge Aug. 23. A preliminary hearing is set for 10 a.m. Aug. 31.

Charles Edward Holerud,

54, River Falls, posted a $5,000 signature bond on felony possession of methamphetamine and possess drug paraphernalia charges Aug. 23. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 11 a.m. Oct. 5.

Shari Ann Harlston, 42, Apple Valley, Minn., posted a $5,000 signature bond on felony possession of methamphetamine and possess drug paraphernalia charges Aug. 23. A preliminary hearing is set for 1:30 p.m. Sept. 28.

Timothy Adam Chambers, 23, Prescott, was ordered to pay $5,000 cash bail on felony bail jumping and two theft – movable property charges Aug. 26. A preliminary hearing is set for 11:30 a.m. Oct. 5.

Closed cases Tonya Lee Allen, 42, Stillwater, Minn., was convicted of violate harassment/restraining order – temporary restraining order and fined $443 Aug. 23. A second violate harassment/restraining order – temporary restraining order charge was dismissed. The charges stemmed from incidents Aug. 19 and 22, 2020.

Ashley Nichole Bougie, 37, River Falls, was convicted of disorderly conduct (domestic abuse), sentenced to two years of probation and fined $543 Aug. 25. At a probation revocation hearing Aug. 25, Bougie was also sentenced to jail time served (73 days). She had been sentenced to probation on Dec. 3, 2020, when she was convicted of retail theft – intentionally take. Fines and court costs totaling $457.29 are owed in that case. The charges resulted from incidents June 12, 2020 and June 13, 2021.

Richard E. Carr, 31, Pierce County Jail address, was convicted of felony take and drive vehicle without consent, sentenced to three years’ probation and fined $518 Aug. 23. A felony burglary – building/dwelling charge was read-in but dismissed. A restitution hearing is scheduled for 1 p.m. Oct. 25. The charges resulted from an incident on Oct. 14, 2020 in the town of Trenton.

Seth W. Harrison, 22, Hudson, was convicted of battery, sentenced to one year of probation and fined $443 Aug. 25. Intimidate victim/dissuade reporting and disorderly conduct charges were dismissed. At a probation revocation hearing, Harrison was sentenced to jail time served (61 days) and ordered to pay $443 in unpaid court costs stemming from a March 10 disorderly conduct conviction. The charges resulted from incidents Nov. 16, 2019 and June 28, 2021.

Karl E. Herzog, 42, Apple Valley, Minn., was convicted of possession of THC and fined $277.80 Aug. 20. A possess drug paraphernalia charge was dismissed. The charges resulted from a July 1, 2002 incident.

Mark Allen Nehring, 43, Elmwood, was sentenced to one year of probation and ordered to pay $267 in court costs at a probation revocation hearing Aug. 20. Nehring had been convicted of battery on Dec. 7, 2018. The charge stemmed from a March 26, 2018 incident.

Brandon Joseph Sorenson, 24, Stillwater, Minn., was convicted of disorderly conduct and fined $277.80 Aug. 25. The charge resulted from a March 13 incident.

Troy Thomas York, 24, Somerset, was found not guilty at a jury trial Aug. 19 of felony second degree sexual assault – intoxicated victim. The charge was dismissed.

Deferred prosecution Senyen Vang, 39, East Bethel, Minn., pleaded guilty to and entered into a deferred judgment of conviction agreement on felony instigation of animal fights – training and possession of THC charges Aug. 23. Felony possess with intent – amphetamine, resisting or obstructing an officer, possess drug paraphernalia and 43 felony instigation of animal fights – training charges were dismissed. The charges stemmed from incidents Aug. 30, 2018 in the town of Gilman.
