PIERCE COUNTY Court Reports

Initial appearances Paul Joseph Blaul, 29, Stanley, pleaded innocent and posted a $5,000 signature bond on OWI – second, operating with PAC (second) and resisting or obstructing an officer charges July 27. A status conference is scheduled for 10:45 a.m. Aug. 18. The charges were filed May 3.

Tyler Lee Bowers, 29, Hastings, Minn., posted a $10,000 signature bond on two felony substantial battery – intend bodily harm, two disorderly conduct and possess amphetamine/ LSD/psilocin charges July 26. He also pleaded innocent to a misdemeanor bail jumping charge. A status conference is scheduled for 1 p.m. Sept. 2. The charges resulted from incidents at Scab’s and Two Rivers in Prescott and were filed July 14 and 19.

Arturo Rosas-Perez, 50, Elmwood, posted a $10,000 signature bond July 26 on felony strangulation and suffocation, battery and disorderly conduct charges. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 9 a.m. Sept. 9. The charges were filed July 26.

John Edward Stein, 59, River Falls, posted a $5,000 signature bond on felony possession of methamphetamine, possess drug paraphernalia and possession of THC charges July 22. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Aug. 26.

Stephanee Jean Ward, 29, Ellsworth, posted a $10,000 signature bond July 22 on felony bail jumping, felony vehicle operator flee/elude officer and operating while revoked (alcohol related) charges. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. Sept. 2. The charges were filed July 22. She also posted a $5,000 signature bond July 26 on felony possession of methamphetamine, possess drug paraphernalia and two felony bail jumping charges. Those charges were filed July 26.

Justin M. Weldon, 35, Prescott, pleaded innocent and posted a $5,000 signature bond July 27 on a possession of cocaine/coca charge. A status conference is set for 8:45 a.m. Aug. 18. The charge was filed June 11.

Damien Dontay Williams, 29, Milwaukee, pleaded innocent and posted a $1,000 signature bond July 26 on possession of synthetic cannabinoid and possess drug paraphernalia charges. A pre-trial conference is scheduled for 11:15 a.m. Aug. 31. The charges were filed July 26.

Tyrone Deshawn Williams, 31, St. Paul, pleaded innocent and posted a $10,000 signature bond July 26 on intimidate witness and violate foreign protection order charges. A pre-trial conference is set for 9 a.m. Aug. 26. The charges were filed May 20.

Joey L. Wilson, 42, Prescott, pleaded innocent and posted a $1,000 signature bond July 26 on a disorderly conduct charge. A pretrial conference is scheduled for 9 a.m. Aug. 31. The charge was filed July 12.

Closed cases

A possession of amphetamine/LSD/psilocin, two battery and two disorderly conduct charges against Tyler Lee Bowers, 29, Hastings, Minn., were dismissed July 26. The charges were filed May 17.

A disorderly conduct charge against

Nathan Anthony Holton, was dismissed July 21 upon completion of a deferred judgment of conviction agreement. The charge was filed Nov. 12, 2019.

Ryan Jon Hovland, 38, Menomonie, was sentenced to three years in prison (18 months initial confinement, 18 months extended supervision) at a probation revocation hearing July 23. Hovland had been convicted of felony OWI (fifth/sixth) and sentenced to jail time and three years of probation in June 2020. On March 10, 2021, he was terminated from treatment court. The charge was filed Nov. 13, 2019.

Justin S. Judkins, 31, Prescott, was convicted of four knowingly violate a domestic abuse order injunction charges, sentenced to three years of probation, ordered to attend a victim empathy course and undergo a domestic abuse assessment, and fined $1,772 July 23. Resisting or obstructing an officer, child abuse – intentionally cause harm, and four felony bail jumping charges were dismissed. The charges were filed Aug. 27 and Dec. 2, 2020.

Andrew V. Krumrey, 38, Ellsworth, was convicted of disorderly conduct, sentenced to one year of probation, ordered to have no contact with WESTconsin Credit Union and fined $443 July 23. The charge was filed March 8.

Bradley Arthur Kuehn, 41, Elmwood, was convicted of receiving or concealing stolen property (repeater), sentenced to 1.5 years in prison and six months of extended supervision (concurrent with Buffalo and Pepin County cases), ordered to pay $1,500 in restitution (plus a 10 percent surcharge fee), and fined $443 July 21. The charge was filed May 20.

An operate firearm while intoxicated charge against Kevin James Mason, 41, Spring Valley, was dismissed July 27 upon completion of a deferred judgment of conviction agreement. The charge was filed March 19, 2020.

Peter Kevin McCarty, 43, Hudson, was convicted of disorderly conduct and fined $277.80 July 27. A resisting or obstructing an officer charge was dismissed. The charge was filed Oct. 27.

Terence Dwayne McDonald, 26, Minneapolis, was sentenced to four months in jail (51 days credit) at a probation revocation hearing July 27. He had been convicted of disorderly conduct and possession of THC Jan. 14, 2020. The charges were filed Aug. 21, 2017.

Yolanda Lavine Myhre, 31, Somerset, was sentenced to six months in jail at a probation revocation hearing July 27. She has been convicted of fraud/innkeeper, nonpayment etc. on Jan. 26. The charge was filed July 24, 2019.

Deferred cases Justin S. Judkins, 31, Prescott, pleaded guilty to and entered a deferred judgment of conviction agreement on a felony strangulation and suffocation (domestic abuse – infliction of physical pain or injury) charge July 23. A make terrorist threats (domestic abuse – threat) was dismissed. The charges were filed Aug. 25.

Tou L. Khang, 37, Mankato, Minn., was convicted of entry into/onto building/construction site/room (as party to a crime), sentenced to probation and fined $443 July 21. He pleaded guilty to and entered a deferred judgment of conviction agreement on a felony burglary – building/dwelling charge. A possess drug paraphernalia charge was dismissed. The charges were filed on Sept. 26. 2018.
