EAU CLAIRE – Chippewa Valley Technical College District Board approved publishing the proposed 2025-26 budget during its meeting on Thursday, April 24. The Board will host a public hearing and final budget approval at the meeting in May.
The budget calls for total expenditures of $109,773,451, a reduction of 5.27 percent from the 2024-25 revised budget due mainly to fewer planned capital project expenses. General fund revenues are projected to be $67,614,298, down 0.38 percent from 2024-25.
An estimated five percent increase in property values will decrease the mill rate of 1.86 percent from $66.28 per $100,000 of property value to $65.05. While the mill rate is decreasing, the overall amount estimated to be collected throughout the district via the tax levy is $28,766,602, up 3.05 percent from the previous year, though the tax levy will not be set until the October 2025 meeting.
