Dawn Annette Lindstrom, 60, was called home on Dec. 25, 2024 in Ellsworth, Wis, after being surrounded by family, friends and music to celebrate Christmas Eve. She was born to John Harold and Gladys Joyce (Barberg) Lindstrom on June 19, 1964, in Red Wing, MN.
After graduating Ellsworth High School in 1982, Dawn enrolled in a few college courses to expand her love of art, mainly consisting of stained glass. She stayed around Ellsworth and continued to live on the farm where she grew up. Her main career was at Western Wisconsin Ag where she worked for the last 20 plus years until her retirement this past spring. Since retirement Dawn lived her life to the fullest after her diagnosis. This included trips to Duluth, Minn, Branson, MO, and Michigan; skydiving, concerts, shopping, and much deserved time with family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, uncle Ralph Lindstrom, and her four-legged pals. Dawn is survived by her brother Kevin (Jeanne) Lindstrom, nephews Matthew (Sarah) and Bryan (Page) Lindstrom, and “the one who made her great” nephew Levi Lindstrom, as well as many MN family members, including uncle and aunt Harvey & Heidi Barberg and many wonderful cousins.
It was Dawn’s wish to be cremated and spread among some of her favorite travelled places including, Duluth, MN and Oregon. There will be a celebration of life at the Lindstrom Shop (W6466 US HWY10) in Ellsworth, WI on Sunday, Jan. 5, 2024 from 12-3 p.m.. There will be a brief service lead by her hospice chaplain at 1:00pm for those that would like to be there.
